crap this reminds me of some little game that may or may not have been made.

the premise was quite similar about some odd girl in a mental ward.

I only played one of the flash games they had on the site and read the bios.
The game was made with sprites of pre-rendered 3d models and from what I saw in the trailers it was pretty fantastical where hallways would unfold into a beautiful field or a forest perhaps.

I loved the first one, it was hard, cool/scary bosses and the story was great: alice by accident causes a fire that killed her family, the guilt drove her to the asylum with almost no chances of ever recovering, so during the game alice confront her feelings of guilt and in the end she accepts her sins and learned to move on and keep lviing for the sake of her family.

On the second game there is no bosses, barely any enemies, just big empties maps. Thw worst is that they fucked hard the story of the first game because it was revealed that the fire it wasn't alice's fault but a rapist who after raping her sister set the fire to erase the evidences, throwing through the window all the development alice had in the first game.
