Only shotgun and rocket launcher feel nice in Duke3D. Grenades too but they're too situational and not really worth using in most cases.
Devastator, pistol, chaingun and mighty foot have kick and sound of supersoaker.

I have played them and while they're great too Douk's weapons still feel great. For instant the Tommy Gun and Uzis feel like shit compared to the Ripper. Blood's shotgun definitely feels the strongest but Duke's is great at long range; Riot Gun just blows though. The Devastator completely blows every weapon in all three games out of the water, it really does what its name suggests.
