Switch isn't really that gimmicky though. In terms of how you play its games it's pretty standard fare aside from motion controls, which is objectively the best way to play console shooters anyway (just see Splatoon players who use stick controls).

Having a handheld that can double as a home console is a fantastic gimmick imo, but some people insist on thinking the word gimmick is exclusively bad.
