ITT: God tier villains
Purely because of the way he was acted.
Tell me the best parts of MGSV weren't all the Skull Face scenes.

Elder god tier* you mean
Name one better, /v/.
Pro tip: you cannot
>>382002604
literally me
>>382002429
He was more interesting in Ground Zeroes.
>>382002429
Out of all the metal gear villains, he is one of the shittiest. Armstrong is best mg baddie.
>>382003607
Boring cliche. Worst antagonist of the three in that game. Dettlaff was best.
>>382001823
>>382003820
>Boring cliche
How so?
>>382002429
Really? He was so shit.
WHOOOOOOOOOOOO?
>>382003886
He's literally Randall Flagg engaging in a faustian bargain.
One of the most overused depictions of a malevolent force following through on one of the oldest tropes in existence.
>>382002604
>random the character
>>382001823
I never beat fallout 1, what made him a god tier villain?
>>382004581
He was a man who fused with animals/other people and became a psyker. He intended to replace humanity with Super Mutants, believing them to be better. The dialogue, voice acting, motivation and ways to deal with him (ex. prove to him that he cannot make super mutants that can breed, then he apologizes for what he had done and destroys the base)
>be sorcerer living in world of the Forlorn
>leave that shit and ditch your spells
>head over to the Profaned Capital home of Yhorm the fucking giant and take their treasured Profaned Greatsword
>make Aldrich the Devourer your pet dog
>feed Gwyndolin to your pet dog
>make a daughter of the royal family your personal dancer
>exile her along with several knight to foreign lands after you stick your rings in their fingers so they're constantly haunted by your watchful eye until they turn to rabid animals
>imprison a cute dragon-human crossbreed at the top of a tower with no way to escape
>feed children to your dog
>dual-wield two giant sword instead of spamming spell like a bitch like most sorcerers

Using a common setpiece doesn't make it a cliché.
Just like the crones weren't, albeit the "evil witches of the woods that eat little children" is as old as it gets.
No only HoS was extremely well written (with O'Dimm following suit), the voice acting was sublime.
Hence, O'Dimm is a god tier vilain.
Don't forget that The Witcher series uses slavic folklore so recurring elements will always be present.

After all those years this still gives me the chills.

"I will burn like the brightest star!"
>>382001823
Did nothing wrong tho
>>382001823
>God tier
>Can beat him just by passing speech checks
wooooooow
>>382005107
And you are probably one of those people who complain so much about "lack of RPG" in newer Fallouts.
>>382004834
>feed Gwyndolin to your pet dog
I will never be not mad.
Get your ass roasted in hell forever, Sully
>>382004702
>FO1 ends with the MC directing a super mutant porno to prove that muties are sterile.
Do want
>>382004834
Huh. The only thing I took away from that character was
>waited in a room to be killed by a random guy
That goes for all the dark souls "villians" for that matter.
>>382002604
Only answer
Your goddess, insect.
Anyone even thinking about mentioning that wannabe Portal harlot can get the fuck out right now.
>>382004073
Did nothing wrong.
>>382004849
recreating a setpiece 1:1 and using a personality template borrowed from someone's dark tower fanfiction is the definition of cliche. Gaunter O'Dimm is clearly "inspired" by Walter O'dimm, but handwaving him as an homage is nothing more than an excuse to describe an overall lazy villian. He is literally Randall and Randall is just a weak ape of the devil in The Brothers Karamazov. Olgierd is the entire force behind the DLC with Gaunter serving as a driver for a plot that we essentially know already. I honestly think that the reason /v/ absolutely loves Gaunter and dismisses Eredin as a "scooby doo" villain is solely because they are mostly too young to know the 5000 other forms of storytelling that did almost exactly what CDPR is doing with Gaunter and because Eredin, whose motivations and reasons for usurpation are subtle and require context, is mostly characterized by optional reading and background dialogue, leaving most of them to only understand him by way of like 2 main story scenes.

>>382004812
All the "villains" in tactics were excellent.
>>382003820
>Antagonist
>>382004982
You mean Bob"tossed aside like a bitch by the AI he created to empower him"Page?
Man was a fucking fool. Simons at least died fighting.
>>382001823
>>382008220
Bravely fairies are meant for hatefucking.
>>382002604
Even more overrated than Sephyroth
>>382001823
Damn, now I wanna replay Fallout 1.
I didn't save after getting the information regarding super mutants, died, and never bothered getting it again and such missed out on the good ending. Not to mention I went in there completely solo and awkwardly fought my way through all the super mutants down there.
That's freedom though.
>>382002429
He was better in GZ but your still right, all of his scenes were pretty good
>MAJORRRRRRRRRRRRR
>IM BURNINGGGGGGGG UP
