I had the same issue, you need to create a custom resolution at 1920x1079 then you can set it to that and it won't upscale. Then you can restart the game, set it to 1920x1080 and it should be fine forever. If not, I'm sure you can put up without that one pixel. If you don't know how to create a custom resolution, it's in your nvidia control panel. If you're running on AMD I'm not sure how to help you, but I'm sure it's a similar process. I also had a white screening problem which occurred a few times early game, not sure how I solved it but it stopped happening.

The reboot Tomb Raider series is what I would call a hard peak for the series. The quality level of the reboot is so much higher than recent non-reboot installments its almost funny. However, I would say the plot and characters are a lot more flat and "realistic"
That gameplay though is pure gold. Tomb Raider (reboot) is a little bland, but ROTTR is pure adventure kino. Closer to Indiana Jones than anything I have ever seen in a game.

Mad Max is pretty shit. Repetitive as hell and there aren't even enough story missions to carry you through each region, so you're forced into doing samey camps and literally copy+paste boss battles. Meanwhile the story then takes everything you've worked for and strips it all away from you in the last few missions, I get they had to do it because Max needs to be stripped back to essentials before the next movie and all but it's the horrible way it's done that's incredibly sudden and frustrating.

Ditch Mad Max and pick up Call of Pripyat instead, trust me you'll want it after SoC.

Yes, but I think instead of playing the first game you're better off getting Black Mesa. I've recently played them for the first time ever and they're definitely games I'd recommend to anyone. I found Black Mesa hard. Not sure how it compares to the original since I never played it. HL2 and its episodes are really easy, though.
