Anyone else kidna feel that Nintendo should just cancel Metroid Prime 4 as a sort of payback for AM2R?

It's just not acceptable for a fanbase to go and make their own game, and we really deserve some punishment for it. It wasn't for to Nintendo to just go and use their IP without permission like that, when it clearly upset them, and they had their own remake in mind already. It was incredibly rude and I think the fanbase needs to be taught a lesson about loyalty. As much as I want MP4, and I really do want it. I'd full support it being cancelled so that the Metroid fanbase can learn a much needed lesson.

I'd feel pretty pissed. I'd fully agree with Nintendo punishing the fanbase. I mean how many Metroid Samus Returns sales are Nintendo gonna lose because of AM2R. I think cancelling Metroid Prime 4, even just in the meantime, to make up from that loss, would be an acceptable thing to do. Then, and only then, if the fanbase legally purchases Samus Returns, and plays a legal remake of Metroid 2, should Nintendo consider making a Metroid Prime 4. Anything else would be spoiling a childish impatient fanbase. And I say this as a Metroid fan who respects Nintendo and their IP's.

How is it autistic to care about the developers of my favorite game. Nintendo are people too. We don't deserve a game just because we want one, this is the lesson Metroid fans have to learn. We should feel lucky when Nintendo blesses us with one. Remember, it's THEIR series, not ours. AM2R's entire production and existence is insulting and really paints the fanbase in a bad light, like we are ungrateful impatient children. And the fact that it's a literal remake of Nintendo's work, it's just the pure hubris of saying that WE the fans are better than Nintendo and can do better, so we will just overwrite and remake your work how we want it. Really disgusting.

Metroid Prime 4's cancellation would be a good reaction to that fan hubris that was AM2R.

I think using the numbering system this late isn't a very good idea, it should a sub-title that people will refer to more than calling it another MP game. it's not a good marketing title as it is, a lot of nintendo newfags didnt own a gamecube

They should give it a new subtitle but during the intro sequence have it also called Metroid Prime 4 similar to how Super said Metroid 3 & Fusion said Metroid 4 during their intros.
