It's a trading space game without the required arcade components that would make it fun.

ONLY if you like hardcore flight sims and space. It's not very "videogamey" it's much more simulation. The majority of your time will be spent doing nothing but flying from point A to point B. It is freeform though, so if you like you could become a space cop and go after players with bounties on them, you could be a trader and fly from one station to the next looking to buy low and sell high, a pirate destroying trade vessels and nabbing loot, an explorer that maps the edge of the universe. Just keep in mind that it's a sim. It can take literally hours just to fly through a few star systems.
>>
It has a pretty steep learning curve, but once you get past that it's great. You can choose whatever 'career' path you want to earn money, but just know that you'll need a sizable time investment to get the faction and the best ships.

Other than that, the game is gorgeous. You'll see other commanders if you hang around colonized bubble, but chances are if you explore beyond that, you'll never see another soul; it is a 1:1 representation of the galaxy. If you dig science/space, it's a must have.
>>
>transport cargo from spaceport A to spaceport B
>wander aimlessly looking for RNG junk floating in space
>wander aimlessly looking for RNG people to shoot in space
If any of those three things sound good to you give it a shot, because that's basically all you do.

Sounds like you play single player. The pvp is amazing.

Do you actually have full control of the ship or its just send it to some place and wait for it to do something?
>>
>>381997341
You have complete control of your vessel. You also save up to buy new ships, some of which requires certain skill levels that you get by grinding missions.
>>
>>381997341
Complete control, even as far as adjusting power levels between weapons, engines, and ship systems. Individual components can be damaged as well.
>>
>>381997341
You have full control. Doesn't mean you will use it.
Here's all you need to know about the game.

nah, it's shit

the best version of this game is on amiga 500
>>
>>381996674
It's quite bad. The Galaxy is giant. You can never explorenit all, but there's nothing to explore. There's no reason to play beyond tarter ships because everything you can do in your starter ship, you can do in end game ships. Every system is the same. You will find nothing unique. Even no man's sky has more vareity.
>>
Haven't played for a while, have they patched all the exploits yet? If not you can make billions and get the 'Conder, Corvette and Cutter all fully upgraded within a month of buying the game like I did.
>>
>>381997928
But the question remains.
Why?

I've heard that it's like truck simulator but in space. Is this true? Is it relaxing to play at least? Or should I wait for a sale?
>>
>>381998239
At least with truck simulator you have gameplay.
>>
>>381998239
If you want it to be nothing but a trading game then yes. If you want to fight you can find fights all the time. Both legal and illegal depending on how you want to approach it.
>>
>>381998239
no traveling is entirely made up of watching load screens then fly straight to the port you want to go to then fly in total interaction with the actual game world is like 2 minutes tops whether your going to the next system or 11 hours of REAL LIFE TIME hundreds of systems away
