We lead sad, hollow, pointless lives - our petty conflicts are all we have to affirm to ourselves that we have any value to the world.

im too depressed to play games lol so I just shitpost on /v/

Because a lot of people take the experiences that games give them to be a big component of their lives, and it isn't wrong to think that. Games are art and art is something that defines us as humanity.
But just as much as humans group together things like race/gender/age and other qualities that simply define an individual, they view someone that's different from them and happy to be the same as someone saying they're superior to them. This causes frustration, especially since it goes both ways.
When someone says they love Undertale and hate Skyrim, someone who loves Skyrim and hates Undertale is going to think the other person holds that opinion as a personal assault on them, and vice versa.
I just wish people would be more respectful of each other and try to understand their opinions rather than view every dissent as a means for conflict to arise.

The game is boring. It has zero depth. I've experienced quite literally everything there is to do in 2 days and had more than my fill of online play. Most high level strategies by people consist of running away, never ending jumping and hopping and other cheese arm loadouts. I'm constantly chasing people down and it's boring as fuck.

I just got a PS4 and beat Bloodborne. It was fucking great, now just waiting for Crash. Planning to pick up a Switch next year. Hopefully Nintendo shows off some actual shit for Prime 4 next E3.
