Fallout 4 is the best fallout game since Fallout 1
I agree

Fuck off todd

Okay. Can you elaborate?
>Playing F4
>Downloaded Zombie Walkers
>Literally every 20 feet there's a new fucking hoard
>Got to the point where my Deadly Commonwealth started to conflict with ZW
>Half-Zombies shooting me in the ass that can only be killed with headshots
It's fun, but goddamn is it frustrating when you think you cleared out a farm only to turn around and see another 3 dozen walkers coming towards you.
Also, making Settlements is surprisingly comfy. Made a nice one outside of Concord with Conquest and decked out a nice, cozy little metal fortress with fresh water and power, surrounded by Heavy Turrets, hardwood walls, and even a few flamethrower traps.
"no"
great gameplay and visuals but why the almost inexistent RPG elements? did bethesda think people would eat it up so they could be lazy or simply completely lack the passion to make a good rpg?
>>381992380
I agree.
>>381992660
>did bethesda think people would eat it up so they could be lazy or simply completely lack the passion to make a good rpg?
They obviously did, because this is pretty much what happened.
>>381992673
Why anon? Why? You disrespect the game using that kind of mods...

>Best combat
>Best levelling
>Removed a lot of unnecessary clunk
>Best graphics
>Best story
>Best characters
>Best atmosphere.
>Base building
>Weapon modding
>Best quests
You're literally retarded if you disagree
>>381992380
I can't get immersed in any of the fallouts after 1 and 2. there's something about the worlds, like a washed out flat look and an uncanny valley factor to the npcs that just ruins the experience.
The Isometric view of 1&2 used similar colors but a lot more detail in the environment, obviously easier to do with a smaller world and view, the npcs looked like people, not action soldiers or sjw barbies and the story progression and story itself was for me by far superior.
>>381992380
Judging by Bethesda history in terms of gameplay mechanics yeah FO4 is their greatest job out there.
FO3 basically was Oblivion with guns.

>Best levelling
>Removed a lot of unnecessary clunk
>Best story
>Best characters
>Best atmosphere
>Base building
>Best quests
>>381992930
FO3 power armors looks like a kind cosplay or someshit.
>>381993094
I think FO4 PA are in line with FO1/2 PA.
Those thing are huge.
>>381992380
70% of perks are just there to fill the role of skills
they went backwards

>Best combat
I agree.
>Best levelling
Not quite sure what you mean but Fallout has never felt less satisfying to level up than FO4. The perks were extremely boring for the most part. Is there even anything else attached to the levelling in this game?
>Removed a lot of unnecessary clunk
The control mechanics feel a lot more fluid. That is true.
>best graphics
It's alright. Better than 3 and NV for sure.
>best story
Not by a LONG shot. You absolutely can't be serious with this. It was not engaging at all, made no sense in ways that not even suspension of disbelief could remedy, and had hilariously badly written quests.
>best characters
Absolutely not.
>best atmosphere
I HATED the atmosphere in Fallout 4. Might come down to personal preference, but compared to New Vegas, FO4 doesn't hold a candle.
>base building
Good idea, weak execution, improved by mods, overall not a bad thing. In a way, the base building overshadows the rest of the game and makes the horribly written quests seem even worse in comparison.
>weapon modding
I didn't care for it. It doesn't make the game worse either.
>best quests
See above. I have rarely seen worse quests in a AAA game that calls itself an RPG to any degree at all.
In the end, it improved on things I didn't care for in Fallout and made the things I liked less enjoyable.
>>381992908
That's just unrealistic for a modern game.
Nobody is going to pay money to play a game like that on their $500 console/pc. That's just not how it works anymore.
If Bethesda found a small indie company that was willing to make smaller games like your pic related, focusing on some smaller side story, they could sell it on steam and make a quick buck.
But why do that when they're literally selling "Base building material" packs for $25?
Bethesda is a piece of shit company.

>Implying any Fallout game had better quests than Fallout 4
And before you go full retard. No, having "a beeg tweest" in the quest doesn't make it good. Actually having to do stuff (puzzle solving, combat, exploring, multiple ways to do a quest) is what makes a quest good, just because Fallout 4 didn't have some "unexpected twist" in every quest, like New Vegas did (and which became comically stupid literally 10 minutes into the game)
>>381992803
>Best combat
I agree
>Best levelling
Maybe but the lack of perks ruit it. The system was good not perfect.
>Removed a lot of unnecessary clunk
I agree.
>Best graphics
I agree and FO4 looks beatiful with some visual mods like NAC + PRC ENB
>Best story
No. far from it. NV had a better storyline and factions but I agree if we're talking about FO3 shit story and DLCs.
>Best characters
The best characters on any Bethesda game? Yes.
>Best atmosphere.
Doesn't even feels like FO.
>Base building
I agree.
>Weapon modding
I agree.
>Best quests
No. Comparing with NV but I agree if we're talking about FO4 vs FO3.
>>381992380
You're full ofright
3>4>>>>>>>>>>shit vegas>old shits

I don't know what game you are talking about but it sure as hell ain't Fallout 4.
