It is worst gundam in worst series
>>381986449
I'm sorry for your loss.

Not anime enough
These are the ideal mechs.
You may not like them, but this is how top mecha-design looks like.
>>381986559
It wasn't that bad.
>>381985584
Jesus christ that mech is sexy as fuck.
What is it from?
All of my searches for a game just turn up a robotics company...

???
It look like a generic Western toaster mech

best legs
Not actually one, but it satisfies that same itch.
one of my all-time favorites

It's from Brigador, an isometric mech/tank/agrav shooter. Aetos is kind of disappointing in the game compared to other Spacer mechs, but if I keep whining about it on Steam forums they'll probably buff it.
Here's the (almost) full list of vehicles in the game. About half of them are currently playable.
>>381987943
Fun fact: a lot of Brigador designs are inspired by Maschinen Krieger. Not every Jap mech design is an animu ninja mecha, thank God.
>>381988082
I wish FromSoftware would just make chromehounds 2, if only to test a new engine in the new generation.

also strictly worse than.
The designs are by no means the central appeal of Brigador. It's strictly the gameplay.
>>381985338
>>381988809
It's the other way round for me. Gameplay could've been better, Freelance could've been better, but the visual spectacle of stomping around and blowing shit up draws me back in every time.

The pain of never getting to see those Z.O.E 3 designs in the Fox Engine, on a Sahelanthropus scale
Why are ZOE mech designs so fucking cool?
Also, would you enter Ardjet's feminine cock-pit?
Why is there no fanart of this game?

To each their own.
I build robots, and I like the visible mechanical details all over the surface like the struts and joints, though it's lacking armor.
I think that's part of it too, a lot (but not all) of the anime styled mecha are a bit too hand-wavey for me in the sense of how they function.
And that's just my opinion, on some.
I still really enjoyed ZoE, but I find the mechanical styled ones like in Ring of Red or Steel Battalion are just more visceral. I like when the controls/motion lend a strong feeling to the heaviness of the vehicle, where it shakes, tilts, crushes smaller vehicles under it's foot, and can topple over. Falling over is the guilty pleasure of these mechs.
And it's not just the aesthetic: with a voxel setup you could let different parts have material properties (like the Atomontage engine), it could suffer gradual destruction from combat, and shoot-out/crash building walls.
So, this image pleases me for a lot of reasons. Also it's late, and my imagination is running.
The "benissimo" is if it could have center of mass, some inverse kinematics, and a little man in the cockpit that bursts into gore when shot.
Just been reading up on Brigador thanks to >>381988105
Too bad it doesn'thave multiplayer
>>381990802
One of my favorite little things to do in Brigador is to drive my heavy mech though one of those abandoned road jams, crushing cars with every step. Crunch-crunch.
Poor image but the only one I could quickly find online of the 'Super Rex' and 'Super Ray' designs Shinkawa did
anyone played the VOTOMS games?
>>381991760
Played the one on PS2. It was very good, I liked how they used all the godly sound effects and soundtracks from the show.
>>381991760
Sadly not.
It's funny how VOTOMS was an infinitely better Starship Troopers adaptation than Sunrise's actual Starship Troopers OVA.
>>381991760
I never watched VOTOMs, how is it similar to Dune? Because I love Dune.
>>381993557
>mystical (and manmade) supermen
>the show goes to not-Arrakis at one point
>miraculous natural substance which enables impossible technology
