Crap then crap now
>>381982993
The voice acting hasn't aged well but the gameplay is still good.
>>381982993
Holds up for the most part. If you could skip cutscenes it would be perfect.
>>381985035
>if you could skip random encounters out the ass it would be perfect
ftfy
>>381985248
>anon never played a classic FF
and X's battle system is pretty decent until superbosses
>>381985248
>if I didn't have to play the game it would be perfect
Don't play turn-based rpgs then?
I still can't get over the fact that it's pronounced TEE-DUS and not TIDE-US.
>>381985438
It's latin
>>381982993
It is the Planescape: Torment of Final Fantasy
>>381985484
Your mom's latin when she sucks my dick, bitch boy.
>>381982993
fine except for unskippable cutscenes
>>381985397
>every single weebshit argumet ever
You know you could also acknowledge when a game does something in a shit manner, you know, instead of blindly defending it. Random encounters are shit, there is nothing even subjectively good about fighting the same 3 enemies 20 times 5 seconds apart from each battle. It's literal autism.
FF7fag reporting. I finally played it through two years ago. it's pretty good. It still looks insanely good to be a fifteen year old game. The gameplay was pretty solid. Blitzball can sucka dick.

Easily modded with dual audio in the remasted edition.
>>381985035
Mods make this easy.
>>381985248
Remasted edition allows you to turn off encounters entirely.
Remastered edition on steam is superior. Glad I waited all these years to play it.
>>381985513
This is some good bait here
>>381985640
not that anon but I like random encounters
Dont see anything wrong with them and enjoy them compared to something like chrono trigger
>>381985705
I didnt even fucking know that ffx was on steam
>>381985640
So play a different genre asshat. You clearly don't enjoy it.
>>381985438
The latter sounds annoying, though
>>381985484
I'm pretty sure tidus isn't a Latin word
>>381985805
tidus was them just translating tida which is okinawan for sun iirc
Not bad.
>>381985759
No game does them right. They are always too often and with absolutely no variation in enemies you are actually fighting. They serve as an artificial way to prolong the length of the game. And they make exploration absolutely not fun at all. And they aren't even truly random, there is a pre-defined amount of steps that you take before LOL SWIRLY SCREEN.
>>381985942
the pre determined thing was only for older titles
I enjoy random battles(since you know its the main gameplay, why would i play something i dont enjoy) so they put no damper on exploring
And most FF titles have pretty good variation. 10 kinda shit the bed in that regard with the recolors. but 9 which came out shortly before had 10/10 variation
Better than ff13
Better than XII at least
>>381986202
It simply is FFXIII. With a better battle system any way.
FFX is and always will be the best FF.
>>381986325
and towns
and sidequest
and characters
and leveling system
and items
and equip system
and story
and console
>>381982993
It's pretty good.
>>381986440
and the ability to go back to most places
and hidden stuff
Currently doing my first play on the PS4 remaster.
I enjoy it a lot, the only regrettable thing is how linear it is
The great
soundtrack, world, story, waifus
The good
graphics, characters, battle system, optional fights, most of the voice acting
The bad
rest of the voice acting, sphere grid, encounter rate, unskippable scenes, missable items, overworld is a menu
The shitI mean actually shit, not good shit
minigames, locking the best items behind shit minigames
I really don't understand how people didn't realise that HA HA HA moment was intended for that moment.
