I was just thinking today how much I love the first 3d one on xbox. I wish they would make another NG similar to it, I liked using the sword and being tactical. The 2nd was too hack and slashy for me and way too fast.

I like the slower and more precision based gameplay.

If you allow NG3 and Sigma into the discussion then you can't have a healthy discussion. Too polarizing.

I'm not sure i understand your post. The biggest change is level design, gameplay remains the same only with the added Obliteration technique.

Ryu being faster and not having to deal with recovery frames every time he farts was a good change as far as I'm concerned. It also got rid of a lot of bullshit like enemies having zero start up frame grabs they can chain into each other, even from wake up. That shit drives me up the walls.

I hate this move because i always end up spamming it inadvertently. I just can't help it, it's like my brain will not let me finish a single Tonfa string. I don't have the problem with the Claws in Razor's Edge, probably because it's actually a dodge/counter move and has no unique followups.

Alma is a really easy boss anon. All you have to do is dodge her shit and do flying swallow on her until it lands and she is knocked down, then you either do a blade of Nirrti or the 360 move on her,

NG2 on Warrior is pretty easy, I feel like the game starts to be challenging on mentor and gets really fucking hard on Master Ninja. NG Black was pretty difficult even on normal mode but i've never felt any huge difficulty spikes like when i started playing on mentor

If you played vanilla 3 then you fucked up, if you played Razor's Edge then you didn't fuck up. Also Yaiba is worse then vanilla 3.

I actually beat her with the Vigoorian Flail on my normal playthrough.

The biggest mistake new players make against that boss is trying to fight her on the ground. That's a big no no, she will just chew through your health with her bullshit grab.

Having gone back to 2 after playing Black again, I honestly like 2 more. Gameplay feels smoother as far as comboing goes, and the variety of weapons is a lot of fun. I do miss wooden sword shenanigans though, as well as minor backtracking elements. Honestly, both games are great and I play both every now and then. Now, as for favorites:

It was a boss in 2 o rather enjoyed the design of, and I also remember it being very frustrating when I had first played the game.

I do recall enjoying the claws as well, but the nunchucks (or was it the flail? nunchuck-like weapon but with blades) really carried me through mass mob sections of the game.
