Why do anime fighting game fans constantly switch games?

All games are basically the same shit with some new gimmicks.

Playerbase isn't big enough to keep it going so they feed off new blood introduced with new games.

With GG and BB they switched around a lot because the game are similar (as much as fans of each try to tell you otherwise), but lately it looks like more of them gravitate towards GG and stay with that.

BB is also supposedly finished as a series so there's that.

Its kinda how NRS players always switch between MK and Injustice releases.

I genuinely don't think anime fighting game fans switch games much more often than other fightan fans. I believe it's just because the anime community is so small to begin with so it's just a lot more noticeable when any portion of them switch games.

BBCF was abandoned by ArcSys and was basically sent out to die, having none of the polish previous entries had.
