Are you fucking kidding me?

Three different ways to reach this solution.
>>381978263
How was I supposed to know then?
>>381978354
minimap?
the tube before it was broken?
>>381978354
>>381978354
By comparing to the already broken tube.
Or by inferring that the just obtained power bomb would be useful nearby.
Or by noting that randomly power bombing a screen tends to be helpful.
The signs are all there.

This is why Metroid games don't sell. Because they force you to use your brain.
y cant metroid crawl?
only primefags couldn't figure this out
>>381979817
But Primefags knew exactly how to figure this out.
You do this exact same thing to get the Ice Spreader.
Is it me, or does Super Metroid overdo the whole, "use a bomb or missile to break away a hidden passage" thing? Don't get me wrong, I still like SM, but that thing does bother me.
>>381979817
>there's a hidden powerup in prime that uses this exact mechanic
>>381979972
But that's the whole point. It makes the game feel longer while making the secrets worth looking for.
>>381978072
Even worse is the bottom right-most area in the wrecked ship is the route to the phantoon boss
Both the glass tube and hiding a critical fucking boss in the alclove equivalent of an item brings Super Metroid down to a 9 instead of the perfect 10.
>>381979972
Metroid in general is about that.
Metroid Fusion was a game revolving around going one screen at a time with powerbombs to find that fucking missile tank you would never find otherwise.
>>381979817
>anti-Primefags so stupid they don't know the most basic shit about the games they dislike
>>381981032
Also remember that part in Metroid Fusion where you had to go through an invisible wall in order to progress? Not even powerbombs. A straight-up invisible wall with a ledge that you would only find if you jumped against every wall in the sector until Samus grabbed onto this one hidden ledge and rolled in.;
Kids today have it too easy.
>>381978072
Now that the dust has settled, can we agree Metroid games are actually shit?
>>381980673
The Wrecked Ship's map design is basic as fuck, just about all the routes except for the one to Phantoon are locked down until you kill him.
Holy shit I just realized the music for the stealth section in Zero Mission is a remix of the music in the Wrecked Ship before you beat Phantoon.
>>381981628
That's not what an invisible wall is. You're talking about a hidden ledge.
i got stuck in brinstar/norfair for a while. I almost gave up before finding Kraid

>tfw had this spoiled by /vr/ before I played the game
