Sonic, SF, Gensis. My console history goes Genesis > Saturn > PlayStation > Dreamcast > PS2 > GameCube etc. The GameCube was my first Nintendo console, and the console I played the least during the 6th gen. To this day, I can't understand where all of this Nintendo autism comes from. I'm convinced it's from people who grew up with them. Feels like I dodged a bullet, honestly.

Sega consoles had tons of great games. Keep in mind I got a ps1 and ps2 as well. Both of which handidly demolished the Nintendo platforms of their respective generations.

I never had SMW as a kid, but SMB3 was a fucking masterpiece. But I played Sonic 2 and 3&K more. I put way more time in SSF2 than any MK, because MK was only good for the fatality gimmick. And I had a Genesis, not a Super Nintendo. When friends would come over, they would play Genesis. When I would visit them, we would play Super Nintendo if they had one. There was no console war faggotry, we just enjoyed playing each other's games.

SNES is my favorite console of all time but I wasn't on any side because I owned BOTH.

However I have never owned a single Genesis game because I was all about that Sega Channel

Growing up I was Genesis MK and Sonic

I eventually got both though but still preferred Sonic to SMW and Genesis as a whole.

I loved MK until I got past the cool characters and setting. I got back to it with 9 though but thought X sucked.
I now like SF more mechanically.

I moved on to N64, I enjoyed it. Got all the right games and everyone in my family got use out of it.
A shame Sega made bad choices after their initial success with Genesis. I was never a die hard fanboy though.
