Why do people care about GTAV when these games exist?

Why do people care about those games when this exists?

Gameplay mechanics of the PS2 era games aged like milk, that's why. Give me San Andreas remade in V's engine with the same original voice cast, ost, etc and I'd need nothing else.

I've been replaying GTA IV this past week and it is still the most immersive game I've had the pleasure of playing. I put about 400-500 hours on the 360 version 7 years ago and I am still having fun with this game on PC. V is a different story however

GTAV felt unfinished or something. Having 3 main characters meant they couldn't flesh out any of them too well. Like why am I supposed to care about this Stretch guy as a villain when you only do one mission with him. Vlad and Faustin in GTA IV had 4 or 5 missions each before you killed them.

San Andreas is probably the best in the series, but I haven't been able to "get into" VC enough to play it and I missed out on it during its heyday. Too bad. My mom was one of those "video games are bad and make you violent types" who looked to Oprah for life reference.\

IV is my favourite of the series, to clarify, but SA is the one that really feels like GTA ought to.

Playing GTA3 for the first time was a mindblowing experience, especially since I was 12 at the time. Now it feels kinda small, but it still holds a place in my heart even though I think VC and SA were improvements.

Game with placeholders, no textures, no ending, missing voice clips, basic mechanics only is unfinished, stop using this term.
GTA always was the same quality, settings change and that's it, I've played all of them and finished each game at least 2 timess, I even played San Andreas again recently before V, really don't get the complaints. Seems to me like people some neutral thing that can't be described as good or bad and just shit on it.
And Stretch fucked you like 3 times.
