Because Games Workshop are massive jews with their IP and only license it out to cheap developers/publishers. Every once in a while it produces something good (Dawn of War, Spess Muhreen) but every other WH40K game has more or less been shite.

There may be some unannounced 40k projects that will knock our socks off eventually, but I doubt it. The IP has been too thoroughly damaged by vapor ware and plane lousy products. The best series we had running was Dawn of War. But that is a corpse. I doubt anyone that could muster up a budget and a creative team could find 40k worth their time.

The only hope I hold in my heart is some one pics up the scraps of Space Marine. All the bones are already there to be improved on. There might even be development resources still floating around.

Vermintide is GOAT, though a bit dead nowadays. If you buy it make sure to open your matchmaking to worldwide and use the game list. Sure you'll get some Chinese fucks who you can't communicate with, but at least they're good at the game and will get you through even Cataclysm maps.

Space Marine is a nice singleplayer experience, but the multiplayer is even deader than Vermintide. Seriously there is ONE (1) game going for the entire world, because they couldn't be fucked doing dedicated servers.
