i dont think this game is for me,im finally at a rank where i dont just shit stomp everyone, currently grand master with leo, but i feel like at this level, which ever player has a low launcher just fucking wins. to counter play characters with too good of move sets is kind of frustrating and takes too much research, i just want to hit buttons and do combos, not get fucked by a guy because he has 1 move that can only be countered by a back turned while rising QCF1234

Im actually having the same issue, anytime i see a character i havent fought (much or at all) in the VS screen i immediately know im going to lose. There really doesnt seem to be much rhyme or reason behind what chains how and why so you just have to know what each character does. Characters have low launchers that start from a jump, mid launchers that chain into more mid launchers (so trying to punish the first will get you launched), low launchers with desceptive animations,moves that look mid but hit low, moves that look low but hit mid, moves that look - on block that are plus and so on.

Its very frustrating.

He has the easiest EWGF (and the best with frame advantage) because he can skip the whole down input. The only problem with Kazuya is that you will be trash if you can't pull it off. It's your only launcher punish from a standing position. At least with Jin you got other launchers to work with.

But I'd say it's worth trying out Kazuya online. Having been much more fun with him than I had with couple other characters. Something satisfying about Kazuya when you finally nail that sidestep EWGF.

The key to beating him is to out-jab him at close range. He has extremely few quick options and if he can't keep you where he wants you then he tends to just lose unless he legitimately outplays you. He's also fat and therefore can't sidestep for shit, make sure to abuse the hell out of that.

He's a good turtle character but playing as Jack it can be frustrating to deal with people who are super close to you with fast relatively safe strings like Lars. Jack's sidestep is also kinda bad so most of the time Jack will sidestep to his right because sidestepping left with Jack is worse off but if he gets given breathing room he's going to be able to control the range against you and god forbid you're near the wall because there goes 80% of your life and now you have to guess whether the next attack is low or mid and have it happen again.

I'm winning, but not in the way I want to. I'm still only hit Grand Master today, but I feel like I'm cheating since I lot of the time I win mainly because of this really damn simple mix up I can do with Miguel which is DF+1,1 and proceed with 2 or 3 with a mid or a low.

It's easily my best tool at my current rank right now and my skill level, but I know this is going to give me a bad habit in the end and I'll get blown up by people who actually know how to play Tekken even at an ok level. After coming back to 3D fighters, all my matches are close yet again, as I continue to bring my good fundamentals with me, combined with a lack of any long combos, just like every other game I've played. One day I won't be so fucking ADHD that I can properly hit training mode and work on some combos. It's been my biggest weakness, and continues to be. Not him but you can break every step of the way, I don't know the specific buttons to press but I know that if you get it wrong you failed that part of the break and you're strapped on till the next stop of the ride.

Depends on the throws, but you have to hit either 1, 2, or 1+2 at the start of the throw. Just for an example, if they go for an Arm Breaker and you hit 1 you'll step out right there. Otherwise, right after Arm Breaker you need to hit 1+2 to stop Chicken Wing. And if you fail that, you need to hit 2 or you'll be going for a serious ride. There's a specific moment you need to hit it, but your best bet is to just mash the button like crazy.

Flip here. I don't know where you're gonna stay here in the Philippines but If you're hoping to fight against US or Europe players with Flip internet, then as far as I'm concerned, tough shit. If I were to use TF2 latency as an example, 200+ ping is at most the decent ping you'll get based on my experience. I can't say the same with the connection in Manila since internet there ain't bad.

Regardless, if you want to have a match with decent latency, then something like Singaporean or Japanese servers should satisfy you.

I just tried it out, I see what you mean now. It's not hard to do WGF but it is hard to do the electric one consistently, especially in the middle of a fight.

Sadly the 40 second load times for every match on xbox has killed any interest in me playing online, also less players on xbox overall.

I still do treasure battle every now and then when I feel like playing tekken and I've gotten a good amount of playtime out of it anyway.
