It changed names.

Nintendo DMCA'd the best Metroidvania (and the only Metroid game) in over 10 years and then Mother 4's dev teams' eyes popped out of their heads and they went AWOOOGAA and decided to delete fucking everything and make it totally original. They still have not announced the new name. There is a 99% chance they're going to take it to Steam lol.

In all sincerity I hope the team finishes the game sometime this decade, and if they do slap it on Steam it'll be a cheap buy, since they were planning to release it for free in the first place.

apparently this gets attention while people ACTUALLY funded "Heroes of Mother 3" and some crappy interquel of Mother 1 and 2 (pic related) was something the Mother community thought it was great because of Megalovania

i'm quite happy devs are moving away from this shitty fanbase and doing their love letter in original form. Mother 4: The Fangame doesn't deserve this shithole

IMO best thing that could happen. It looks too good to be wasted on an unofficial fangame.
