The NES Mini being undersupplied really isn't that surprising. It probably had something to do with leftover stock of parts coupled with it simply being a minor holiday gimmick. I really doubt anyone ever expected it to be such a massive smash hit. But the production had probably been pre-determined way before hand and they were right in the middle of producing all of their Switches and their budget was most likely already spent for the season.

Basically. The NES Mini was never expected to be a hit. And was thus never produced at such quantities.
The SNES Mini however is almost certainty produced with the success of the NES Mini in mind. Might very well even be the very reason for it existing at all.
And since I doubt Apple are fucking Nintendo in the ass for this one. I am sure it will be in much better supply than the NES Mini.

You clearly don't realize how much this thing will sell, and its all about sweet spotting, You nab the first batch and then dangle it at highest costs possible to create a market, because idiots will follow your lead, thus raising the standard price exponentially. If I am the first guy to list the SNES mini at say $1000, Every other amateur reseller will see my price and compete with it.

In short, I'm going to make fat cash off this thing and I don't even want it. But idiots will gladly pay top dollar for it anyways

If you really want one I'd recommend do to do your absolute utmost, immediately, trying to get one.
But if your idea was to sell it. I wouldn't judge the prospects to be as fine as that of the NES. A much riskier move.
