Yes and yes. However the DLC isn't worth it. Alien Hunters and Shen's Last Gift are terribly balanced with the vanilla game and Anarchy's Children is the worst cosmetic pack I've ever seen in a video game.

Deluxe Edition doesn't include the resistance cosmetic pack (which was originally a pre-order bonus) though.

It's actually a good loot shooter. /v/'s complaints about it is the writing is sometimes cringey and new game plus is broke. Both are true, but the gameplay and mechanics are great, it has good replayability with different characters and builds, and decent dlc.

Depends what you're looking for. AoE2 is obvious but still great and active so get it if you don't have it. Strongly recommend Heroes of Might and Magic 5 if you want something turn based. Dawn of War 1 is also ridiculously cheap now and still better than DoW3, so that's worth buying if you don't have it yet.

As for Stronghold get 1 or Crusader. Not all of the newer Stronghold games are shit, but they're definitely weaker.

The Arcania Pack includes Arcania and the Gothic 3 Expansion. Both of these are outsourced literal Indian dogshit, and under no circumstances should you ever even touch them. The only Gothic games that you should be buying are Gothic, Gothic 2 Gold, and Gothic 3 base game. The G3 expansion and Arcania were outsourced to different developers in some backwater town in India and they somehow managed to shit out the worst shovelware imaginable. The actual Gothic devs went on to make Risen with a diferent publisher.

Do not get tricked into buying Forsaken Gods or Arcania unless you love shitting in the streets and eating dog.

The "definitive experience" is just a bunch of costumes, lots of which are for the online which is most likely dead.

Take a look at the costumes that you can use in the single player and if you think they're worth the 4 extra dollars, then get them.

I'd say just get the normal version and buy something else with the money. I played the game on release and never felt like I needed different costumes to enjoy myself.
