Since adapters keep fucking disconnecting for 5 seconds at a time, not all the games I like can be emulated, and I own most of the games I play on PS2 anyway, I actually would pay for a PS2 slim with an HDMI port.

Nah, there's plenty of ways to mod one and use "backups". Fat PS2 gives the best compatibility. Only downside is being the loudest.
