Objectively best Mario game

Eeehhhh not sure about BEST Mario but wonderful nonetheless. Comfiest absolutely with it's style, music, characters.

However it is a classic 9/10 at a minimum. I still remember the tadpole music puzzle, very satisfying.

It has to compete with Paper Mario and Superstar Saga, which is a pretty tall order.

I'd rank it as

M&L > Paper Mario > SMRPG > TTYD.

Mind you, they're all 9/10 games.

I've beaten it once. I tried picking it up several times to replay it but always ended up dropping it around the time Bowser joins my party. The game is just way too easy, and it ends up becoming overwhelmingly boring to me.

Nah.

SMB3, World, 64, and Galaxy are all better main series games.

Donkey Kong '94, Mario vs. DK, Mario Tenis (GBC), and Mario Party 2 are all better Spin-offs.

Paper Mario and Superstar Saga are better RPGs.

Wario Land 4 is better too, though it's questionable if that counts (kinda like saying Shadow the Hedgehog is a Sonic game).

SMRPG is a great game, but hardly close to "best".

Yoshi's Island is technically the best Mario game.
