I got about 6 hours into this before dropping it and watched the cutscenes last night... Holy shit, is this THE WORST horror writing in a game ever?
Evil Within 2 doesn't even have a writer named, but if it's Itaru Yokoyama again the game will be terrible (his only other writing credits are Evil Within).

Not the worst, but it's pretty bad. Some people like the disjointed dream-like sequences but to me it made the game feel like an objective-less blur with almost no compelling content at all.

Silent Hill at least treated you like an adult, Evil Within is WHOA SO EDGY TEEN BLOOD shit. There's even a line with Kid where a character is giving "YOU ARE DOOMED" exposition dialogue and she replied "FUCK THIS SHIT" and just starts shooting him.
