The emperor ordered them to sit on their fucking ass in Ala Mhigo so Zenos intentionally baits them so he can fight them there. That's why Rhalgr's Reach wasn't destroyed long before SB even began, was allowed to continue to be there after, and why they didn't just drop a legion on them as soon as they crossed the wall.

The funny thing is the majority of those two dungeons is automatic, with very little actual fights, most of it's using the environment to take out enemies with some small mobs to deal with, and the magitek armor run, with the only real fighting being the boss fights at the end.

I luckily knew before hand when I first did them that there was a shit load of cutscenes, so I skipped them all and was able to keep up with the party as they high tailed it to the end.

It has shit cooldowns before 70. At 70 it becomes really good in single target because TBN is up every 15s and works out at almost no DPS loss because you get Blood from it. Aoe tanking seems shit because that 20% HP gets blown through quickly and it doesn't have many cooldowns, plus MP from Blood Price got nerfed so you can't self heal with DA+AD as much. WAR is better for 4 mans and easy 8 man stuff, DRK is slightly better in stuff like Savage where TBN can be used as utility.

The problem is that not only was Aetherflow nerfed, the MP cost of many of its spells were also increased. Aetherflow now only gives you enough MP to cast a single Adloquioum. SCH's run out of MP much, much faster than the other two healers do merely for doing what they're supposed to do. AST meanwhile have even stronger shields for a lesser MP cost than Adlo, so what's the point? Are SCHs just supposed to put up with this simply because they were in the meta for HW?

One of the best WHMs in the world think SCH is fine too. The issue with SCH is its dull moveset in comparison with WHM/AST but the class' core power hasn't changed at fucking all. Go to any tier with a fast kill and count how many adlos SCH puts out, their power has always been to help the WHM/AST. Their lack of healing is only evident in dungeons and even so, actively using healer cds makes it a null issue. I've been fucking healing Tanks doing the entire gamut of pulls in areas like Temple of the Fist as SCH since I got antiquated gear. People need to realize SCH just isn't as fucking braindead anymore.

I thought Castrum Meridianum was bad but this was so much worse than I thought. First of all, nobody talked. Didn't even say hello. Second of all, it was a speedrun and I had to skip all the cutscenes which is a shame because what little I saw looked fucking amazing. Third of all, when I got to the point where you ride a Magitek Armor or something, it didn't work. Everyone was like 5 minutes ahead of me and I had to walk there. And even then I think I managed to backtrack or something and eventually got killed by mobs. Luckily I came back to the start, took the shortcut and joined up with all the faggots. Then we got to fight the Garleans. Holy shit so fucking cool yeah more story. Nope, I have to skip cutscenes to keep up. Also all the fights were a fucking joke. Even the Ultima Weapon took like 5 minutes to kill in both forms. I was hoping for a cool dungeon, with cool story and cool fights with everyone having fun but nope. It was just pure shit.

Currently leveling NIN and WHM at the same time.

NIN does MSQ for xp and a little bit of pvp, WHM catches up with instant dungeons and roulette.

I like this way better than finishing one class first and then doing another I notice. More variety, less drudgery of running the same dungeons over and over. And once I've done an hour or two of talking in the MSQ I feel ready to get back into some dungeon farm.

Pretty neat I'll instantly have two lvl 70s this way.

Dissipation is a good saving ability though. Synergizes well with their new aetherflow trait as well and Fey Union. Fey Union actually isn't bad if you control it well. With the recently found bug, it ticks for 5k.

All SCH needs is a nudge on their Adlos/Physick/Excog potency and maybe give them Disable.

RDM is fun for me at the moment, min-maxing your mana gains while dancing around the field and being able to respond to calamities with instant heals and rezzes is good shit. RDM heals are also surprisingly potent which means you can solo shit quite effectively.

SCH doesn't actually have bad aoe healing, precisely because Indomitability exists. Without it they'd have to rely on Succor + Whispering Dawn, which be an actual downside of the job, but as it currently stands as soon as any aoe damage comes in they can just hit a button and not have to worry at all. Emergency Tactics is a much more balanced and flavorful way to make up for SCH's poor aoe that interacts with their jobset better.

How do I level a tank to 50 relatively quickly? Reached HW, and want to use DRK for it, already have DRK at 37.

Nothing changed at 70. Adlos had its MP cost increased so you can't spam it. Healing potency is roughly half of other healers, but SCH still holds the most amount of free healing of the healers so it makes up for it. SCH still is one of the most active healers on the move, something that both AST/WHM cannot do.

DPS-wise, SCH has even worser AoE than WHM/AST, but theirs requires very little cost and is fire and forget at no effort. Single target, WHM>SCH>AST obviously not taking into account their raid buffs. If it did, it'd be AST>SCH>WHM.
