Two many two-handers end up looking like giant slabs of metal with no practicality whatsoever unless you're literally superman. Love it when weapons in general are done in a more grounded style, especially two-handers.

It's probably because they're more removed from a sword than an axe or club is. Swords, maces, etc, all have similar effective ranges and they can share at least a few animations.
Spears are just their own unique thing.

Single shot guns with really long and involved reload animations are so damn rare in games that they're pretty much limited to RPGs and double barrel shotguns with which you can fire both barrels simultaneously.
I guess the most obvious example would be muskets, but even slamfire pipe shotguns would do it for me.

I really like flails. Any game where you use one correctly instead of just swinging it like a sword?
