It got delayed because Capcom said they were worried about the quality of the DLC.
I think Capcom just shat out RE7 because they saw their fans hated all of their games so they tried something new, then they were surprised when it turned out people loved RE7 and they had to redo the tacked on DLC.

Anon Capcom can't hold their word for shit. It's pretty clear they fucked up with the Chris thing. I do believe it might end up being the real Chris, but the ingame phonecalls and documents pretty much say that isn't the real chris. I think at first it was planned as a ruse but they changed it in development and forgot to redo some of the hints. Now they need to remake the DLC to fit into whatever they choose to do and thats why it got delayed.

I knew it was going to be delayed. Too obvious. You don't expect a studio to make a free DLC story chapter from almost scratch in 3 months.
This said, I'm happy for them. They made a satisfying survival horror game, they're slowly pulling 5M sales in and next year it will probably be the best selling RE title ever, which is better than 5 or 6 being.

Both are good but flawed; as far as the main campaign goes the first has pacing issues and stupid action sections when it should have just been "Jill's on a ship with the laziest partner ever" adventures. The second has a more cohesive story but it is also quite a bit shorter.

Raid mode is the main replayable thing for both games, the first is great other than the grind, and the second's fixes the grind but everything else falls short.
