Telltale's The Walking Dead
Should I buy arma 3
>>381925831
I really shouldn't buy anything since my backlog is already huge, but how's these two?
>>381926132
if you like mega man specially mega man zero do not buy gunvolt it is boring as hell you don't get a mega buster you get a tiny little pew pew gun that doesn't deal real damage and then after you hit the enemy you have to stay in your place and use your electric powers to actually kill the enemy
way of the samurai 3 or 4 and why?
>>381926132
Jotun is ok but has a much cooler aesthetic than it has quality gameplay. 5/10
how did i do?
is quake live worth it?`
>>381926052
It's pretty comfy if you like that kind of thing
Soundtrack is top tier
Post your Steam keys and what game you want.
tell me whata are some good cheap games right now the cheaper the better
Looking for a top down shooter. Something like nuclear throne or hero siege, but not garbage. RPG elements or weapon upgrades are appreciated
Divinity bundle or Batman of Mordor?
>>381926896
Depends on what you're looking for. 4 is kind of half japanese game and half comedy. There's a lot of joking around and the ragdolls during combat is insane. I thought it was easier to progress down specific routes since it was more linear about three main defined routes, and showed a tree of events so you could figure out what you hadn't seen yet and what you had to do. 3 is almost completely serious and more of the game is a mystery since you've got all those events and no convenient tree in game to give you an idea of what you've missed. 3 has more endings but most of them are just variations. Personally I liked 4 more, but it was my entry into the series. It also seemed easier to me.

oh come the fuck on
can you at least pretend to not shill for Valve when we do these threads?
Anyone got some cheap hidden gems?
Croixleur Sigma and Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae were some pretty hyped hidden gems a couple of years back.
>>381927435
do you want radical story and turn based gameplay? Divinity.
Do you want assassins creed nonsense loosely based on LotR? Mordor

Have you not been around for the previous 4 days filled with "post carts" threads? Or for almost every past sale ever? I know you want to fit in, but come on.
>bought all these games off my shitty laptop
>pc parts for my first gaming desktop got delivered over two weeks ago
>tfw no time to assemble it
>restricted to a laptop for now
>get Hollow Knight because I could run it and I hear it's great
>it runs like shit
>look up the possible reasons, I mean this is 2D and the required specs aren't that high
>it turns out the game has known issues if played on a laptop due to something involving the processor and graphics
Oh this is some bullshit.

>I don't have 90 minutes max to spare
That's if you're slow.
>>381927468
The humor and crazy ass stories in steam reviews are what drove me to this game in the first place, so I'm leaning toward 4, but then again a lot of people on steam seem to praise 3 more and why I do like jokes and funny stuff Saints Row for example is too over the top for me. So yeah, I'm a little confused. Which game is better gameplay wise, you'd say?
What should I throw out?

>>381927946
It's been a while since I've played 4, but from what I remember they are about the same. It really comes down to whether you want a serious story of a half serious half comedy one. I believe the durability system is different though. In 3 you have a bar that fills up with consecutive attacks and blocks and if it fills too much it will break. It 4 I think it was a flat X/X durability and when it hit 0 it broke.
>>381928021
not sure...looks bretty gud
Should I get Helldivers?
How packed is the MP?
Are there any games that I can romance waifus but not have it be the focus of the game? Like a game with gameplay that actually isn't shit/repetitive.
What are some good cheap JRPGs?
>>381928021
I don't like the new Deus Ex, there for you HAVE TO drop it
>>381926765
>after you hit the enemy you have to stay in your place and use your electric powers to actually kill the enemy
But that's the total opposite of how the game works. You tag an enemy, then you get to run around freely and unload into them, while you focus on dodging.
>>381928021
Don't get barebones Dishonored. Definitive Edition or bust.

I really, *really* didn't care for the Daud DLC. Maybe it was his gimmick blink which added a laughably useless time-stop to justify having an even more laughable range.
>>381928280

>>381925953
Mafia 3 or Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

>>381927253
The entire Legacy of Kain franchise. All a little over a buck each

>>381927132
Comfy my ass, I had about one month left and not enough time to grow the tree I needed for pomegranates. I pulled everything out of my greenhouse and got lucky that planting the seed at the top right square counted as enough space to grow the last fruit I needed to complete the community center bundle.

Recs are accepted.
I would also like to introduce myself to genres I've never gave a fuck about, like (J)RPGs, management and rhythm games. Even genres I've never heard of. I may not get them now but I will keep them on my mind. I want to get the fuck out of my action/adventure comfort zone, /v/, shake me.
Also, I have Civ 5 sitting in my library, should I giveitago?
>>381929003
I wanted to get that too but I don't know, I'm interested by the settingand not the faggot dress-up part.
>>381929286
The music is elder god tier, but the levels suck. Too many open areas, windows and guys with guns. The first game was all about mad melee rushes and tactics, the sequel is mostly spray and pray.
>>381929162
Depends, do want to be Troy baker or Nolan north?
>>381928021
HyperLight Cuckold, it has Anita Sarkisian in the credits, and the DX bundle. Just get the originals and Human Revolution.
>>381929518
It's still way too expensive for what it is. Which is Shinovi Versus with nicer animations, slightly more fanservice but the DLC not being included.
You know what a good game is?
Fallout 4!
Where Steam sales always this shit? Or was it because I was so poor that games I perceived as Triple A were actually older than I realised? I remember picking amazing games for £5, now they're all trying to ride the hype of Steam Sales and not actually offering amazing deals at all.

A couple of recs:
Risk of Rain (tough, fun as hell, rogue-lite, /v/ plays multiplayer a lot and they're fun to play RoR with)
Crypt of the Necrodancer (explore a random dungeon. To the beat of any music you have handy on your harddrive)
Recettear (Own a shop in a JRPG setting and lowball legendary heroes!)

Posting cart for nth time. Will probably pull the trigger tomorrow.
I recommend a game called Near Death as it's pretty cheap right now. It's basically a linear, story driven survival game where you're stuck in a defunct antarctic base and need to survive. It has great atmosphere, very reminiscent of The Thing (but without the supernatural stuff). Exploring each installation of the base is fun.

Recommend me some games, I want an RPG or something where you like build up like Stardew Valley/Banished/Kenshi. Or maybe a decent roguelike. Something I can sink a good amount of time into
I kinda want Guilty Gear, too.
So far I've bought

Doom

It's a first person point and click adventure game that evokes a lot of Lovecraft's work (not his Cthulhu stuff) with more authenticity than most other games (subterranean passages underneath houses, cults, astral projection-like journeys).
I wouldn't recommend it unless you're really into Lovecraft. It's not scary though there are a few very chilling moments. It does the unreliable narrator and dreamlike segments very well.
The puzzles are so-so. There is a fairly novel gameplay element where you analyze letters and passages of text for clues or inconsistencies by underlining them. Maybe watch a brief let's play.
What was that game with really manly men in it? It was a FOTM here a year or 2 ago? It looked pretty good but I never wishlisted it. Apparently it was made by a gay or something? I can't remember much about it
>>381931924
>Roguelike/lite:
FTL - command a spaceship and manage power use/crew/battles/random events. 10/10 material if this sort of thing appeals to you
One Way Heroics Plus - NOT the mystery chronical version! A nice RPG/rogue lite with multiple endings and lots of cool playstyles
So far this, should i remove something/ wait until it's cheaper?

last time i checked it was early access so i ignored it, but i guess it's actually out now. worth ten bucks?
>>381927945
Bruh first time took me like 3 hours. It's not even hooking everything up that's consuming, but setting up your computer after that is. Putting in all the disks for drivers (or downloading them online if you don't have a disk drive), installing your OS and all that. Plus there's always something you did wrong your first time that you have to go back and fix.
>>381932709
If you like achievements in your games and some challenge modes then sure. But some of the achievements are broken, notably the one for getting the true ending, you know, the really hard one to get in the first place.

LISA. Get it.
Fucked up my previous post, should I add anything? Not really sure if the metro bundle is worth it
>>381933032
Great if you have someone to play it with. It's very short and you won't replay it (unless you're hunting achievements) but I found my single playthrough to be worth it.
Highly highly recommend you play it with someone else on your first playthrough though. And a controller is virtually required, so having an Xbox wireless controller dongle and 2 Xbox controllers might be necessary. You can still make do with one person on keyboard and the other using controller though.
Oh and it's normie friendly. It's the kind of game you can introduce to a gf who doesn't generally like or play games and they will probably like it.
>>381933312
It wasn't LISA, the graphics had people that looked like actual humans. I think it was a RPG, possible a roguelikey thing? I know you could make your own character anyway

*Works best with a controller
Worth it for the soundtrack alone, but the fast and frenetic gameplay with the cyberpunk aesthetic are great too.

The first metro (at least 2033 is, haven't played redux) is good, haven't played Last Light personally. Brothers is good, very short though and controller and another person is pretty much necessary for the optimal experience.
Dishonored is great if it's just the base game. I did not care for the game's DLC. Depending on how much you care about the game's ending being affected by the way you are forced to play your mileage may vary.

Deus Ex HR (the one most people on /v/ seem to like) is a snoozefest. Just warning you in advance. Don't expect it to have a good story or particularly good gameplay.
I can recommend VtMB as a game, it's probably my favourite one on that list. People would tell you to pirate it though.
Dishonored is good.
As for Hitman Blood Money, well I don't like Hitman games in general but if you're going to be playing one if at all Blood Money is probably the one you should start with (older ones are not worth playing with their terrible controls, Absolution is better than people say, I'd personally enjoyed it more than Blood Money even though it was too long, new Hitman is bleh).

Puzzle Agent is great. I recommend the second one as well. The puzzles are braindead easy, but the story and atmosphere are super charming. It's a bit of a pastiche of Twin Peaks.
Tome Raider is wholly mediocre, not bad, but mediocre.
Transistor, I never beat. I no longer have the patience for that type of game. I may beat it one day.
Talos Principle is a work of art in more ways than one. The game does drag on eventually though if you're a completionist. Amazing soundtrack and a thought-provoking story.

>not streamerbait garbage
Well I'll give you that it isn't garbage, but it clearly is streamerbait as is every horror game wich relies on jump scares and not just on atmosphere.
Still the game lost me when there was that part, in which you had to avoid the one guy patrolling in the basement with the lights out.
You literally would get caught dozens of times and would have to memorize his pattern. That crippled my experience in a way, that I could not get scared anymore, bc I saw all the enemies as what they were, some obstacles on a set path, that only would stray from that path if you got near them and even then the AI was so incredibly predictable. Still for an Indie game it was okay I guess.
>>381936695
>but it clearly is streamerbait as is every horror game wich relies on jump scares and not just on atmosphere.
But it does rely on atmosphere. It reminded me of Condemned (but where you're a complete pussy)
I hate jump scares and refuse to play garbage like Five Nights or whatever else is on Steam - but Outlast is quality made.
To everyone loving real adventure games and not those telltale-esque games:
-Deponia collection is 85% down and the 4th game 65%
-HD Remaster of Day of the Tentacle is incredibly cheap right now
-Timbleweed Park is incredibly cheap, too

Nah, I don't refund games unless I feel ripped off. I'll get it working with a controller.
What kinda disappointed me is the fact that they did not release a port of the graphically updated android version of the game like they did with the GTA games. While for the GTA games I usually go with the old version bc of halth of the soundtrack missing, I would have loved to play Bully at 60fps with better graphics, seeing how it has no licensed music that was taken from the game in the android release.

>>381939710
Maybe they shouldn't have made Mankind Divided so shit then. Saying people should buy shitty games so they get sequels is just retarded.
>>381939785
Stop crying
>>381939003
Don't bother with the L4D Bundle, just get L4D2.
Is SimAirport any good?
>>381936047
Ignore >>381936182 It gets a new one every year and Rev 2 only just came out so you have an entire year to go until the next version. Its a pretty good fighting game
Should I get The New Order? Will it run on mylaptop?
If I plan on someday playing through the Divinity series, should I get Beyond Divinity?
Already have Divine on gog, Div 2 and OS on Steam
Stupid question and feel free to roast me for it.
Is there a good chance that my toaster will run a game if my video card meets the specs, but isn't one of the recommended types?

>>381939946
Yeah it will

Should I sell this now for games?
>>381940072
>Paying $320 for something that came with a $40 pre-order
Why
>>381940008
You can always try and just refund if it doesn't work.
>>381940139
No idea. Plus the price went up like $100 like a week ago.
>>381940139
>Paying money for digital things that do dont anything
>>381940072
>33 sold in the last hours
>>381940225
I suppose I could. Just thought I'd ask before I go through the trouble.
>>381939874
Its shit because ofdenuvo
Well that an being pushed out because augmented lives matter
Should I get Human Revolution?
>>381939982
It's 59 cents, chances are you'll get your money's worth from it. Not nearly as good as Divine, but still decent
>>381937324
Try SpaceChem and English Country Tune. They are very difficult though.
Any worth it?
Already bought Rain world, one shot and RtCW.
Should I delete something?
I don't know what to buy.
Wanted a game with good graphics and an immersive world.

>>381940695

>Half-life 1

>Noitu Love 2
Comes to about $6.50, pretty good.
I was going to get Starr Mazer DSP, but apparently the mentally ill tranny that made the music got it removed.
Also anyone have a link to the OST? The crazy fag thinks it is worth $1,000....
I'm not sure on Witcher 3, is it really that good
>>381940518
Deadly Tower is pretty fun.
CrossCode seems great but it's in early access and it's like 3 dollars off right now, I'd wait.

Could I get some recommendations of games that have good stories while not being shit to play?
How long/replayable is momodora?
What are some fun point-and-click games on Steam? Either indie or obscure old shit, I've played most of the classics.
>>381941212
Grim Fandango
Max Payne 1 & 2 (3 tells a horrible story and plays like shit)
Dead Rising 1 (the sequels are pretty bad but taken on its own, DR1 tells a solid story)
>>381941223
It took me 9 hours to get all achievements, which is like 3-4 playthroughs.
>>381941223
Momodora III I maxed in about 5 hours, you can do better and one playthrough is less than hour. No idea about the reverie cause I still find it too pricey even tho I liked MIII
>>381941298
I really liked Edna & Harvey.
>>381941298
The Journey Down 1+2
Literally just a WE WUZ KANGS version of Grim Fandango, but I loved it.
Ok I just remembered this game I saw from a speed run and looked it up.
Costume Quest 1 and 2 bundle $2, normally $28.

You forget to push the motherboard cable in all the way. You assemble things in the wrong order and have to backtrack (I'm thinking mount the mobo before you mount the RAM).
People make mistakes dude, it was a 2 day ordeal for me becausemy graphics card didnt line up right so i had to get dikes and cut the case to fit. that was fun tbqh
>>381941965

Not as good as their other games.
>>381941298
Kentucky Route Zero is an interactive story, but it is pretty interesting if you like surrealist stuff, plus it has this kino scene.
Which one should I get?
>>381941298
Blackwell series
Still Life
Some 50/50 recommendations:
Technobabylon

Stay away from Daedalic titles. They look pretty, but are very mediocre in all other aspects.

Darksiders is a fun action game,
Deadly Tower of Monsters is pretty fun with an aesthetic I haven't seen in any other game.
Half-life/Black Mesa is a fun classic.

Torment is interesting but not worth the time investment.
