I've had minor success with streaming, made some good friends from it. Once I finish up college I'm sure I'll go back to it in my free time.

I want to stream just because I want to make money off of doing something I actually enjoy doing, but I know no one would watch me because I'm not amazing at any particular game and don't really have anything interesting to say, especially not while I'm focusing on a game.

I've thought about it a lot. Ive got a decent voice and can be entertaining without being retarded, but i dont play any "relevant" games so i wouldnt draw much of an audience. Ive even got the equipment i need and everything, just no popular games.

My idea was to do let's plays and never say a single thing.
I personally only watch let's plays to see footage of a game's gameplay usually to judge whether or not it's worth playing or to rewatch a particular part I like without having to actually start a new save and I don't care for Youtube funnyman# 276241 making shitty jokes aimed towards tweenagers while I do that.
I'm just not sure if there is a market for pure gameplay footage.

i actually plan on it since for girls it's easy. I'll probably stream weeb ps3 games on the weekend and league of legends on weekdays

the only thing really holding me back atm is the initial investment to buy a good pc + streaming equipment and an editor to help me get established

A long time ago, the one thing that I wanted to do was make a channel about getting good or improving at different video games. I wanted it to be a mix of general information and specific mechanics across different video games and varying genres, helping people learn neat tricks and getting past arguably difficult sections. I never really had an interest in doing blind playthroughs for people like the general market is now. I sometimes get the urge to do that from time to time, but I want to finish getting my master's first.
