Basically, anything that keeps you engrossed in the game. Spec Ops is a good example since it keeps you in the psyche of the main character.

The Darkness does the same.

Bayonetta's are good since you can play around with the systems while the game loads (on consoles. On PC it loads in like a second.)

Spec Ops has great loading screens. It was only in my 3rd or so playthrough that I realized that you can see the mannequins blink in this loading screen, spooked the shit out of me the first time.
