90% of the "good" action RPG's from the last decade, and about 99% of the turn-based RPG's from forever, fall under this category.
Nobody's playing a final fantasy or an elder scrolls for the deep strategic gameplay. It's all about the narrative, the exploration, the sense of adventure / discovery, and the meta-game of building up a team and upgrading powers / gear. That's the draw.
