It's a shame the game has revolved around so much grinding this expansion. I would have actually gotten interested in this new story development and been pretty curious about had I not quit after the first month of Legion because of all the dumb little bullshit things I had to worry about on all of my characters. I mean yeah, class design and gameplay for certain specs is still a fucking mess, but the grind is what really me stay away so far.

I'm curious to know where things will be headed after this expansion. Maybe the final Argus patch will be just as good as MoP's final patch (before it lasted for an entire fucking year) and it'll be fun to jump in again. Who the fuck am I kidding, the artifact weapons' existence and legendaries will ruin any motivation I would have to play again.

So far they haven't really killed any more people than we've lost in any other expansion, discounting faction leaders. Undead had better zerg tactics in wrath than the Legion do because on top of superior numbers they added everyone they killed into their ranks on top of it.

Leveling was and always has been nothing more than a tedious chore, not a mark of commitment or skill. Rep grinding is filler for a lack of substantial content, the raid bosses were all 1-2 mechanic tank and spanks, and the PvP was atrocious.

anon feels, to me it's exactly the opposite.
It's not like "you can do anything!", it's more like "why would I ever do that", as most quests are just boring fetch-a-thlons and the main storyline is such a horridly written trainwreck it's painful to go through.
The maps are barren and just a giant placement for quest chains, which inadvertly means that the only "exploration" is "go here, pick that book/trait point, leave because there's nothing else you can interact with anyways."

Dungeons are the only thing that was fun to explore for the challenge, but even then they are tied to quest chains and give jack shit unless you follow it.
And it all comes wrapped up in a nice batch of you will never, ever be able to design a character that doesn't look like a complete abortion because ESO is entirely against anything that is not superfluous, mediocre designs with no soul whatsoever.
