4U added two new weapons, mounting, some cool new monsters, and an infinite endgame with random loot. It also had expeditions, which are multi-monster (4-5) non quest based hunts, which netted you guild quests that you could level up and grind relics from.

Basically, it had a lot of content, the endgame was challenging, and the online was very populated for a solid year.

This is the first MH game I played and it convinced me the series was garbage.

It's good enough that I've been streaming it every single day for almost the past month, and have been playing it online.

I wouldn't call it the best but it's probably the most solid game until 4U.

Oh yeah, definitely. But MHFU is still good, aside from the utterly shit-tier hitboxes on some monsters- Kutku, Plessy, that kind of thing.

4u is a LOT of fun, but the new monsters they added in Generations are probably my favorite ones so far. Malfestio and Mizutsune are amazing!
