That little shit needs to go.

Superstar Saga is the only genuinely good entry all throughout, though Paper Jam has good gameplay and you get to see the Koopalings and Toadette have some actual character which is nice if you like using those characters in things like Mario Kart. The rest of the games are just dull as fuck in all regards, other than DT having some pretty egregious pacing issues. If anything, I'd say Starlow is one of the better aspects of BIS and DT, because at least you can get angry at her instead of the games just being a constant stream of apathy and mild discomfort. But honestly I couldn't even get angry at her, it was just more whatever.

Alphadream needs to make a new IP, or revisit one of their two original ones, just do something that isn't M&L.

I was planning on revisiting PiT soon. Mostly because the first time I played it I was a dumbass and avoided enemies until I got to one of the final bosses and realized I was severely underpowered. BiS is one of my favorite games though. I haven't played SS or much of Dream Team, but I agree that Paper Jam is one of the worst and most generic things to have "Mario" in the title. I'm glad Mario is taking a much different direction with Odyssey though.

I liked the "rescue the Toads" segments more than the 2D segments in the last two games because they were at least over with quickly. The Papercraft Battles are even more dull and repetitive than the Giant Battles, but on the other hand with them one mistake doesn't double the length of the already too drawn out fight.

Really when I say PJ had good gameplay I meant just the combat and overworld.

Because she is the vehicle most tutorials go through in the games she is present in, she often shits on Luigi like nearly everyone else does in the series, and the rare scenes from the first game where the bros would have to do crazy charades to explain to someone what happened are unneeded as Starlow can just tell the characters what happened

The remake looks good, but the GBA style wasn't really lacking, and if you have a Wii U you can get it on VC for $7 as opposed to the remake which is probably going to be $30-40.
