I used to love fighting games but now my reflexes are so garbage and the games are so wonky that I feel like I'm wading through molasses trying to control characters.

I generally spend a lot of time watching tournaments and wishing I had the drive to at least practice shit or go online and get stomped.

sfv killed my motivation for my favourite series
trying to learn tekken but I have no 3d background and a lot less time than when I started fighting games so it's going but it's a tough climb
guilty gear is great but local scene here will play nothing but Capcom games (might change with DBZ)

I'd love to believe that but I'm not going to let myself get burnt again. SSFV rumours are mostly new characters and single player content afaik. A lot of the changes I want are system. Input delay, extended active and recovery frames of normals, buffs to antiairs (so many normals CC when grounded but not as AA it's silly). Even when I have the occasional urge to jump in and play, half of the games I play have a stupid amount of lag. makes me doubt if I'm earning the win vs the guy I'm playing.

Shits way to hard for me. You have to fucking key in the sequence of a nuclear launch code to even get one special move to work. More often than not it never works for me. I get so frustrated with none of the combos entering correctly i just button mash.

Also fighting games are boring as fuck after the initial purchase/release of the game. Especially if the only thing you can do is button mash which accounts for a LARGE amount of gamers as it is. There's a reason why fighting games die so fucking fast.

And lets me honest here the best things that comes out of fighting games is the porn and that's it. Even the creators know why do think they put some much tits and ass in it nowadays.

I played competitively for some years until I realized I was getting really obsessed over certain things and was being an insufferable faggot to my friends for taking a lot of stuff too serious.

Stopped for awhile although this year I've been playing casualy some games like MKX and UMvC3, trying to get to a certain level of goodness, with mixed results. At least I stopped with they tryhard phase once I realized my limits.

There are reactions, but it becomes more manageable after you understand what you should be doing in certain situations. Only thinking about using something like 2 different moves at a certain range, say a certain anti air or a poke against dashes/wiffs helps you react to a good choice faster. Put player tendencies and what seems to be working and what isn't in, and it starts to feel less about reactions, and more about understanding the correct choices in the pressure of a match that lead to the biggest reward for the lowest risk.

Literally zero point in playing them unless you are into esports or have a group of friends you can casually play them with

I play them everyday just had a big session of usf4 with bro where he only won 2 games and i won the rest of the games along with ssf2x where i won all the games and he got bored
But now that i see usf4 is really good i play fighting games like all day on fightcade win most of the games but in usf4 he still managed to win 2 games that game is really unpredictable
