X-COM (emphasis on the dash) would work better. Original game was more about cannon-fodder and mass-destruction, which suits DAH much better.

XCOM has trouble with naked sectoids with dinky plasma guns and barely any psionic ability, the Furon Empire would obliterate them so fast it wouldn't be funny.
Not to mention that they're expert infiltrators and their UFOs are superior to whatever crap the Ethereals are fielding.
Plus, Crypto would end up banging Vahlen so no science for you.
