They say syndicates of wizards have led a boycott of imperial goods in the land of the Altmer.
>See a guard outside Imperial City fighting a mud crab
>He's screaming "I've fought mud crabs more fearsome than you"

>tfw getting murdered by a guard and he starts taking advantages of your insecurities
>first TES game was Oblivion
>people hype the shit out of morrowind
>finally try it and it's so shit I never left the first area
Morrowind is a meme and Oblivion is one of the comfiest games in existence
It's the Daedra, you see.
Why does no one in Oblivion have facial hair?
>>381852486
I mostly agree. Morrowind is a good game but anybody hyping it up as Oblivion: good edition or some shit is nostalgia drunk.

Beards are gay.

Oblivion has a lot going for it with the quality of quests but I have a lot of nostalgia for Morrowind and it's high fantasy. It was my first TES onXbox
By the way... do you happen to know what the fine is here in Cyrodiil for necrophilia? Just asking.
>>381853017
This. Beards are for "Nords".
>Hurr, but there's Nords in Cyrodiil, and they ain't got no beards!
Hetrosexual Nordic exiles from their fruity homeland.
>>381853864
This was kinky. Damn shame there was no quests to find her ...company.
>>381853926
No, beards in any form are gay.
>>381852486
Morrowind is far comfier once you get into it, but for a lot of people there is a big period where it just feels bland, boring, and all around bad.
I'd recommend getting a good mod setup sometime and giving it a real try, power through for a while and if after about 10 hours you don't love it I'd be amazed. I still play a new character once a year or so, I've probably got close to a thousand hours in it now. Oblivion only lasted me 150 hours, and Skyrim even less.
>>381851814
No matter what Oblivion had the best fucking wuestlines in the history of Elder Scrolls, better than Morrowind and better than Fallout but with no guns ad infinitum.

I want more of the fuckery that went on in the entire Brotherhood questline, especially murder mansion.
>tfw no modern video game will ever have that level of choices on how to solve a quest
When did video games become moe and more shit?
>>381856385
The feeling you get the first time you doing that quest.

Somehow the shittiness of taking a picture of a screen enhances this image.

So did he steal all the beards so nobody would look like him?
>>381857639
You can find a note on Punishment Point in Shivering Isles that says someone was executed for trying to grow a beard.

>When did video games become moe and more shit?
The normiebux ruins all things. TES, gaming in general, the internet.

I'd say he created a plague that prevents facial hair growth, and had one of his followers spread it all across cyrodil
>>381859089
I too have been trying to get into this series. What mods do you recommend?
>>381862106
these are all my mods, some arent active and some might be redundant in some way, but most contribute to what i think is the perfect morrowind experience. for magicka regen i use 1/10% per second
>>381859230
i agree. but being a kid on a console and not having money for many games made it one of my favorites at the time. these days i gave up on it because there arent enough mods in the world to fix the combat
>>381862923
Bro, I don't see Morrowind Audio Overhaul on that list. You need to reconsider.
I played that shit when it was brand spanking new. It was actually mindblowing back then. It was one of the first of many games I eventually poured hundreds of hours into, setting a "pb" at the time of around 180 by the time I finished. I tried to brag about it once to some normalfag friend of my then-GF at a bar, but he was unimpressed if he understood me at all, which I'm not sure he did. He had an illegal firearm jammed in his waistband, and he liked to wave it around while drunk driving.
I had a job and my own place, and my favorite thing to do was spend quiet evenings alone with Oblivion. I did that many times, having many marathons of the game, binge-playing it. I had a paperback guide which I used to systematically find and explore every single location in the game. I ended up unlocking 100% of the achievements practically by accident, doing this. IDGAF about that datamining shit though, normally, but I never did that before or since so that's interesting I guess.

I remember Morrowind was the first game I went and got a dedicated graphics card for.
Also the only ES game I have finished the main quest in.
