Exactly, and online LPs are hours and hours of barely edited or not at all.

The only things scripted are things like when Arino reads from the cue cards at the beginning of an episode, and he riffs on that sometimes. Also some of the prop and AD gimmicks and all the side segments have a loosely scripted framework. All the playing and reacting is real.

Seriously though, it is how it's presented. Episodes are edited to be arced stories, they emphasize ups and downs, and pace it with other segments.

With youtubers it's a long series that they pretty much coast through actually entertaining the audience outside of gameplay. If they do they make it a separate video.

Markiplier is probably the only one to come close to understanding this.
