I wish I knew anon. I'm still trying to find a main I'm comfortable with. My biggest problem overall is I can't handle pressure. I fought a Steve who was just throwing punches like a machine gun. I'm no authority, it's my first real Tekken but yeah I heard she copies a lot from Bruce. Don't know what about her really would catch someone off guard other than just the variety of punches she throws. I think I'm using her wrong because like I said all my punches get blocked.

I've heard Asuka is good for beginners and she has a lot of mix-up options but she's kind of slow and more defense oriented I think. I did pretty bad with her too. I've done best with Lili but against an experienced player her flips won't confuse them like they will a newbie.

Slow motion pretty much replaces the victory replays. Saves time in general and it gives you hype moments when applicable. I don't really need to be reminded of the tail end of a juggle combo after every round. Just don't use huge vertical attacks, or you end up with drawn out moments of your character off screen.

Guy who was bitching about Josie earlier. I just won my first (and only) match of the day. Small victory but I feel great about it. I put in a lot of work with her and for once didn't feel totally dominated by the other guy. I think she has the potential to be good but there's still the issue of most of her punches are upper body and are easily blocked. A few fights I got the other guy down really close but couldn't finish him off because his defense was too good. Gotta just find a way to sneak some lows in there to get that little bit of bonus damage.

I'm building a playstyle for female fighters that goes like this. I've found it to be most effective with Lucky Chloe so far.

- Equip skirt with cloth physics
- Make skirt and panties greatly contrast in colour, just so they're clear to the eye
- Only use moves that create pantyshots (eg. Lucky Chloe's breakdancing)
- Go online and play randoms
- Opponents get distracted and don't play in top condition

I'm a novice and I've already snatched a few PERFECTS.

I'm very much a Tekken scrub, I played TTT2 for a total of maybe 2 hours, so this is my real first Tekken, but there's a lot of info out there that can help you get a good grasp of the fundamentals.

Well of the ones I know I'm not having trouble, other than timing with 3~4 due to nerves and lag. Maybe I need to learn some better combos as him. My highest one I know of right now does 69 damage but I have a hard time getting them launched with it and started.

No it's not. Even if you know it's coming (and it is coming) you still have to get lucky with the timing because you can never be sure WHEN it's coming. It's so easy to get caught off guard even when you expect it. Paul just needs to get lucky three times and he wins.

Come on anon it's really not that hard after thinking about it and practicing for a few minutes. I thought it was intimidating as fuck at first too but honestly it's not. You have four face buttons and 4 attacks 12 (punch) 34 (kick) then you just have notation for movement. Which you can just write down if you want to. I just draw arrows instead of writing df, ff and shit and it improves the readability for me and makes it easier to remember the combo.

What was she supposed to do, honestly? She missed blocking at the start of the fight and never got the chance to recover because he was relentless. As soon as she stood up before she could even block he swept her back on her ass and kept pounding her.

All I do is put tank top or t-shirt with the hotpants+ sneakers set on every female. They all look way better with that.

Hwoarang being S-tier and still not winning tourneys is laughable; however, he does deserve a few nerfs and I'm saying this as a long-time Hwoarang player. He was so hard to learn and play they kept giving him a bunch of OP moves without really fixing his core moves.

I'm with you there. I like that there's customisation but it's way too over the top silly for me. It's so bad I actually want an option to turn off all customisation in online play.

I'm a scrub and that may be the reason I'm struggling with this, but is King just a really hard match up for Asuka? I find it really tough to play her usual defensive game against him, half his moves go through block it feels like. Should I just try to facerush King even though Asuka is kind of shit at that? If I try to do the slow and methodical thing I just get caught by his far more powerful hits (as well as all the grabs of course).
