ITT Autistic shit you do in video games.

I only equip my hood in Breath of the Wild when it's raining.
>>
>>381838053
I only wear hoods and such in Skyrim when it's raining/snowing etc.

I mean, I have Frostfall installed, but... um...

In some RPGs I make sure to have at least one unit of every item I find in the game, so it's "archived"

basically, if there's on remainder of an item, I won't use or sell it.
>>
I remove the helmet when in town so they can see my face
>>
>>381839757
I do this with Monster Hunter materials. Even the super low level stuff that I'll likely never ever need again.
>>
>>381838053
Reload my weapons when I see an impair number of bullets.
>>
>>381838053
in games like Skyrim and Fallout, if I can, I like to throw my dead enemies off high places.
>>
>>381838716
The fact i install so many "needs and survival" mods and shit is proof I'm autistic. If my game kills me in half a second because of something I fucked up or some enemy breathing on me, I eat that shit up.
>>

I'm not autistic these days. I don't even compulsively reload.

In most games the character always runs everywhere, when I see a place where running wouldn't be normal I make the character walk, sometimes it takes several minutes to get where I need to get, but I still won't go fast.

In games with little/no recoil on guns, I will move my view after I shoot to simulate recoil. Especially if it's a shotgun.

I move the camera around in smooth, swaying motions like in those E3 demos.
Same with movement-- I try to move in smooth curves. 'Normal' movements look gittery and unrealistic, and it really triggers me OCD. I will always take the more appealing clean path in my head, as opposed to just not being a sperg and getting to where I need to go 'normal' (e.g. a lot of times I will make my character run in an arc instead of just walking back on himself.)
I will even go as far as reloading a save if I mess up a movement to reverse that dodgy movement/go back to when my character was still 'clean'

Please tell me I'm not the only one, if so, what's wrong with me?

I often spend one to two hours, sometimes more, in a GTA game, usually IV or V, just standing or parking in one location and taking in all the sights and sounds and conversations in that location, and when it rains, I turn on the radio at a low volume and listen to the soft sounds of the talk radio or whatever song is at the moment take on greater sonic texture because of the pattering of the rain and the thunder in the background.

I also write character analyses of GTA characters I'm interested in, which usually end up around 5 pages double spaced in Word.

My perfect run of the Arkham games:
>one life
>don't "kill thugs" by throwing them off from too high rooftops (those that need an invisible wall to stop you), don't explode their own mines, don't let them get caught by grenades, don't throw smoke over them or abuse of fear takedowns (so they don't shoot blidnly), don't run over them with the batmobile (not even at low speed, because they end unconscious on the streets, and other thugs could kill them)
>don't let a single bullet hit me, or an explosion
>play as if the gadgets were not unlimited
If i fail at any of those restrictions, and other i might being forgetting, it's game over.

In Bloodborne, i hate how your weapons dissapear from your hand when you do other stuff than walking and killing beasts (opening doors, pulling levers, lit on candles).

I hate Resident Evil inventory system. Pic related.

I'm a sucker for realism in my games. The more realistic a game can be, without making it boring, the better.

I have a problem with over saving currency. Mainly in rpgs. I will grind a bunch at the start to save alot. If I buy anything expensive (anything above 10% of my current dosh.) I will grind that money back before continuing. Also I love games that let you store money in banks.

I like to think up imaginary news reports when I'm playing games like Grand Theft Auto, Sleeping Dogs, Just Cause, etc. that detail the madness I get into from another perspective. It adds a weird layer of humanity to the game.

Particularly in games like Just Cause I like to think of the news casts as them covering the events as though it were an invasion of the setting of the game.

Oh yeah? I got you beat.

For the last 7 years, every time I complete a video game (or get through as much content that I believe the game has been fully experienced), I write a full on review in notepad, talking about the game, what it's about, and finally I rate it. I do all of this pretending that this will be posted on a website (which it isn't) and that there is an audience that I talk to that not only actually reads it, but reads all of the articles I've written in order, making appropriate call backs to earlier written reviews on the "site".

Haven't read the thread but I'm guessing many of mine have already been said.

>slowly walk instead of run in survival horror games whenever there's no need to run, solely for the sake of immersion
>slowly walk in other games sometimes like the Batman: Arkham series unless I actually need to hurry or I'm just impatient
>if I'm playing a game where you can ride a horse, sometimes do this exact thing while riding it (that part of the Last of Us where you rode that horse around that college campus was so fucking good)
>whenever I have teammates fighting with me, I always try to make sure they're healed up and think of them almost like they're real
>always reload if I have even spent so much as a couple of bullets in a clip (and since I have minor OCD, finding more ammo so that I have the maximum amount of ammo for my guns is such a great fucking feel)
>do a shit ton of prep for enemy or boss encounters that might be hard, stocking up on healing items, ammo, etc., even practice a bit before I get to the encounter; sometimes I find out that I prepped way too much and it turns out being really easy
>speaking of, in fighting games and Smash, I practice a shit ton for days or even weeks before ever going in ranked mode, or fighting people online, because I want to make sure I'm absolutely ready (it's partially because of this that I still haven't gone to a single irl tournament yet)
>also in shooters, if I fire my gun and an AI ally walks in front of me, making me shoot them accidentally, I'll feel really guilty, like I were in an actual battle zone irl and accidentally shot my squad mate or something; additionally, if I run out in front of my allies while they're shooting something, I'll feel really dumb and incompetent, like I could've avoided friendly fire

Also, I save like a motherfucker in any game that has manual save.

Only use/wear something if it looks cool, even if it's the most powerful item in the game I can't use it unless it looks nice.
>>
>>381868972

Parts of this >>381869036 to be sure, but most of it is just because I don't really have a good outlet to talk about my opinions on video games in general, and usually when I do want to talk about a video game even on /v/, it's way past the sell-by date on interesting discussion.

Though I was pleasantly surprised that a lot of people shared my opinion about the ending in recent Life is Strange threads I've seen.

I'm trying to think of a review I think would be objectively interesting to an average reader and also not the length of a goddamn novel, but I don't think I tend to have any thought-provoking opinions about games until far after I've written the review.

I collected 999 lives in Super Mario World because it was calming to my literally autistic brain. I didn't even play shit like RPGs back then somehow, like things you would actually consider grinding if you were a normal person.

Nowadays I just do things like stay in a particular area in a videogame to take in the aesthetics, scenery and music so I feel like I'm part of the world. BotW was fun for this and especially the Animal Crossing series.

I'm playing Digimon World Next Order and I fantasize about having my Digimons in real life. So I imagine they're with me, or I imagine them fighting other giant Digimon.

K maybe I'm still really autistic...But I hate grinding that's some progress.
