Why is any RPG good?
Music and pacing.
Meh, Undertale was a better Earthbound.

The first two Pokemon games provide a similar feeling
It was a simple adventure about some kids traveling the world. It had memorable moments and characters, amusing dialogue, and a unique and catchy soundtrack.
Good to see a EB thread, I'll dump fanart in a few minutes.
