Me too, I'm slowly leveling both, but I wish I could have a taste of their level 70 gameplay in PotD instead of just level 60 (new PotD when?).
I love WHM's theme (holy, rock and wind, artifact gear, weapons), but AST sure have some cool-looking spells, like Stellar Detonation. I'm not a big fan of cards, but lily system appears to be worse even at max level.

MNK is actually not in a terrible place. They're still pretty much overwhelmingly average but now that they bring SOME raid utility I can see them being brought into some raid comps.

All their new additions are fun and fairly useful too, which is better than what a lot of other jobs are having to deal with. Poor WARs.

Actually, with riddle of fire, brotherhood and the chakra traits, MNKs did actually change quite a bit from the old ways, in that now instead of just sitting on your rotation forever, you're sitting on your rotation until it becomes INFINITE FORBIDDEN CHAKRA FUN TIMES. It's actually a significant change, in my opinion.

For extra fun times as MNK, get a friendly AST to agree to arrow you the fuck up. Now that riddle of fire is a thing and the TP costs for your rotation is lowered, you can really lay down some hurt.

I don't like some of the decisions they made. Most of the new skills aren't appealing except the one that gives damage and slows attack speed and brotherhood. The passive that gives chakra 50% of the time you crit might be good at higher levels of crit/ss, but that's yet to be seen.

Riddle of Fire is just the new name of old Blood for Blood with new numbers and the Forbidden Chakra is still spamming an oGCD, nothing changed in the core rotation, it's still mainly side combo to back combo while weaving oGCD in, the core combo even managed to get even more dumbed down with the double loss of Touch of Death and Fracture.

Every other DPS got at least one new move in either HW or SB to add in their GCD rotation or heavily changed it, sometimes they got huge changes in both, Bard being the best example. It's really damn underwhelming even if we're far fron fucked damage-wise.

Yugiri actually said during that final quest where you go around talking to everyone that she doesn't know if she's going to follow Hien back to Doma or stick around in Eorzea.
She's still the defacto leader of all the Domans in Revenant's Toll who seem perfectly content staying in Eorzea, and she offers no resistance when Hien tells her to go back to Eorzea with the WoL's party.

They'll probably keep her around for a good long while since Thancred is on the chopping block and we need a resident NIN that isn't the WoL because they don't count, and she's also the primary representative in the story for the Au Ra as an entire race.
They'll probably do that cliche and predictable thing where Hien smiles at her, tells her it's clear she wants to stay there, and then release her from her duties with the understanding that she's always welcome back home.
Because this is the hopeful and happy expansion, unlike the bleak world of G.R.R.M's FFXIV that was Heavensward.

Lyse will likely be relegated to Aymeric status after this expansion. Showing up every now and again for important things to remind us she exists and that we're friends or something.

Like it has been continuously stated, Monks are fine. Maybe a little bit undertuned, but no underlying mechanical problems that won't be fixed until the next expansion like WAR or SCH. All their issues right now are numerical, a couple small buffs and they become pretty competitive, and even right now they're not terrible by any measure, just on the lower end of average.

I think that, unfortunately, people should just accept it already. HW's VIT change was just a bandaid fix for a community problem (shitter tanks trying to imitate their professional esports heroes and failing miserably), not some nice QoL update to make it easier to improve your DPS. It was obvious that all the 4.0 changes (since media tour build) were focused on the idea that people really should just "respect the content" (not just tanks, but all roles and jobs).
And, to be honest, the only tank fucked by these changes was WAR. Both PLD and DRK have very nice bonuses on tank stance, and the playstyle is pretty much the same in both stances. WAR, on other hand, have exclusive skills in each stance (not just fell cleave), and a very annoying penalty for stance dancing, plus no new utility gimmick like blackest night and cover/intervention.

SCH is complete shit for Susan because the fight is 90% aoe heals. Any fuck up can be solved with massive aoe heals which SCH doesn't have.
