Is this game good or not? I'm kind of a sucker for Tolkien stuff

it feels really generic but it's still a solid game, plus it's dirt cheap so you might as well go for it.

Once you get some upgrades shit gets easy
Lore doesn't shit on the books that much for a video game, so that's nice
I do think the climbing and combat is very smooth

Lorewise it's full fanfic-tier for its story. But it was an acceptable clone of the AC/Sandbox parkour thing that's everywhere nowadays. The orc-warchief/leader mechanics were fairly entertaining.

It's more like a game that takes place in Tolkein's universe than it is a Tolkeinesque game. You'll probably enjoy it if you don't go in expecting serious story-telling chops.

Lorewise it's middle of the road. Celebrimbor forging the One, Celebrombor's uprising being of uruk, and men garrisoning the Black Gate past TA 2500ish are significant departures from the lore, but the majority of things are on-point.

So far it's been great, but it's getting repetitive.

I've spent a lot of time fighting one fag uruk that kept re-apearing each time i "killed him" with more wounds upon his body until i finally chopped his head off.

The game has arkham combat, you be the judge whether thats good or bad. it's also extremely bland, it's basically asscreed 1.2, straight up to the recycled models (there's literally only 1 male human npc model)
