Literally the most mind-numbingly easy minigame in existence.
Grab ball with Tidus swim to net and use Jecht Shot to get rid of all defenders and score.
FFX-2 did it better by making it a management sim.

The blitzball minigame was basically a remake of the classical Captain Tsubasa games on SNES.

Yeah that's pretty much all I ever did after I got it. Stopped caring about getting proper teammates or anything like that afterwards. It was actually laughably easy, so I did enjoy blitzball a little bit, considering how op it would make me feel.

Blitzball is where I dropped this garbage game.
What did it for me was not even the fact that they had a garbage sportsball minigame in the game. But the fact that they absolutely fucked the pacing that had been going up until that point to shoehorn Blitzball into the story, but never actually introduced me to the mechanics before the """""big game"""""" so it's supposed to be this big moment in the story and the game is teaching me how to play the sport for the first time as a finals match begins.

The writing wasn't great up until that point but that's when I realized things could and would get so much worse. Fuck blitzball. Final Fantasy in general. But also especially X.

I actually like how the first match you play is the hardest and it only gets easier as you go on. The underdog story and victory are much more impactful because it follows into the gameplay.
