Defiance gives the exact same boost to eHP that Grit and Shield Oath do, and the healing boost raises the effective healing on them by basically the same amount.

If you're finding Warrior any different to heal than the other tanks on a base level then it's because that Warrior is playing differently than the other tanks, not because of anything inherent to the class.

Just finished the story. What did everyone think? I thought it was about on par with HW, worse companions half the time but better villains, and it wasn't as fractured as I feared it would be with two different rebellions since they give you good reason to be in Doma. Every area had a good arc to it and got me invested in the various cultures, which didn't really happen in HW.

There is a constant misunderstanding with this.
Let's make the numbers easy to get.
Tanks have 10k hp. Adloquium shields for 2k. A tank buster hits for 20k.
PLD/DRK have 10k hp and a 2k shield and take 20k damage, which they reduce by 20% to 16k. They die with -4k hp.
WAR has 10k hp which they boost to 12k, and a 2k shield which they boost to 2.4k. They take 20k damage and die with -5.6k hp.

That is to say, their eHP is ONLY equivalent for as long as they take less than their (boosted) maximum hp as damage. The instant a tank has been in tank stance for so long that they have taken their full amount of health as damage (and survived thanks to shields), reduction permanently overtakes boosted max hp in value for eHP.
Similarly, at low current (not maximum) health values, the healing boost on defiance is significantly more powerful than the reduction from the other two.

Scholar lost a huge chunk of its skills and cleric stance is gone now, which means any healer can easily fill in downtime with dps, the biggest strength of scholar was creating downtime via shields/instant heals to dps through so you can safely swap between cleric stance.
Scholar lost: Miasma 2, Bio 2, Aero, Eye for an Eye, Blizzard 2, Virus, Sustain, heavily nerfed Shadowflare to be a 60sec ogcd (which they didn't even buff the overall potency), fairy is worse than a regen now, reduced potency of fairy buffs, the new "role actions" for healing potency buffs don't even fucking effect your fairy. Dissipation is a pointless skill now other than openers because it actively hurts your healing potential EVEN MORE because the fairy gauge doesn't fill when she's not out.

Meanwhile BOTH other healers got potency buffs to their cures, and actually new skills that add to their kit, and more aoe buffs.

Best thing is that it was only like 5people at max in that pirate group. Like we were told they were fearful pirates fucking up everyone unless you didn't pay the toll but you didn't see ANYTHING about them.
There was no indication at all there even existed pirates at the ruby sea, most of the execution in this expansion were so bad.
