ARMS takes some patience, but its a lot of fun to pick up and play, same with MK8. Theyre both meant for short bursts of play which is great for portable. idk if you've played BOTW yet but its a much more meaty experience than the other two. Switch is getting bought up so I don't think youve made a mistake, and I really like playing indies on it.

Gameplay so simple that any minor amount of strategy has to be considered depth. It's no different from FIFA, as both require some amount of patience and doing the same shit over and over, only with different arms/teams. I'd feel ripped off if I had bought it.
