Hey /v/ I played undertale about a year ago and discovered and finished OneShot about a month ago, maybe a little less. When I finished undertale, I thought there wouldnt be anything else as good ever again, but then I heard of oneshot and realized that I was wrong.
What I am getting at is that I am looking for other really exceptional games on the same level as OneShot and Undertale. I like games that make you think, and are story driven. Any recommendations?

Iv heard of Lisa the Painful. Iv also heard it is really dark. What kind of game is it, like puzzle, combat, etc?

OneShot isn't exactly like Undertale, but it is similar in some aspects. But it is truly a fantastic game.

It's not THAT dark. People meme it too hard as le edgy. It's got some lighthearted comedy and good character dialogue. The ending just isn't sunshine and rainbows.

RPG Maker horror games are a blessing.
If you want heavy plot go for Mad Father, Misao or Ib.
For good spooks play Ao Oni, Nira Oni and The Witch's House.
If you're more of a watcher try ManlyBadassHero, he's a bit tumblr but really good in general.

The storylines by themselves aren't very complicated but having multiple routes and endings is probably what OP would've been satisfied with.

OFF is a fine RPG with turn based combat and a great story. Also free.
