Nothing lasts forever anon, not even physical collections. But at the very least a physical collection will likely outlast you and several of your descendants, so there is that to consider.

But yeah, digital is the dumbest way to collect games. Any number of things from them going bankrupt one day in the future to you making a "wrong think" comment on a message board can lead to you losing everything. Hell, even legal mumbo jumbo, as we've seen from games being taken off of PSN/XBL because of stuff that happened between companies in the background, and other bullshit like what PT went through.
