Tomb Raider does have some nice extra's on PC though, VXAO, higher rex textures, SSAA (the FXAA is blurry as shit, even 2xSSAA is demanding but makes a huge difference)

I actually agree. They look kinda similar in visual fidelity in cutscenes where Uncharted 4 really shines but for gameplay graphics there's a big gap, Uncharted 4 looks nothing like >>381753683 and >>381752606 and >>381752657 because trhe hardware gap is too large.

Uncharted 4 is also flat out the better game but I'm enjoying Rise a lot.

Shadowplay can barely do anything right unless you're using an ancient build of GFE from last year. You used to be able to record or take shots very easily. After the GFE overhaul, recording either doesn't work, the indicators and FPS counters don't show up on the screen, or it ends up recording those into the footage because someone fucked up the rendering pipeline of the system.

100% real-time realistic lighting takes a cuhrayzee amount of processing power in a complex environment. We don't actually have enough yet. Pre-rendered shit can however look just as good while taking much less power but it also limits things a lot, obviously.

7th gen used prerendered shadow maps on everything (including moving objects) with lighting that barely affected anything. Bloom was way overused because it looks like soft shadows for dummies. It looked kind of good for the uninitiated at the time, but holy fuck is it hard to go back. It's actually uncanny valley up the ass. 8th gen generally does dynamic soft shadows, but at lower intensity than real life. The best looking 8th gen games pretty much still have completely pre-rendered environments though.
