The new characters feel uninspired (especially Katarina, Claudio and Shaheen) and the Street Fightery gameplay and movement of Akuma and Eliza feels jarring in Tekken.

Katarina is fucking hilarious if you know Portuguese and her moveset is fun.

Her design can be salvage on the next game, all she needs is a non shitty look.

Claudio is fun as shit to play and he looks so ridiculous he will fit right in.

Shaheen.... Does nothing for me. Most forgettable character ever?

They really should add Christie. Many say that clone characters are the least necessary so in order to keep the roster small they shouldn't be included. But the whole point in having a smaller roster is to have less characters and moves you need to learn to deal with - and this doesn't apply to clone characters. So there'd be no harm in adding Christie and I'm sure many would prefer a sexy female capo to Eddie.

It is fine and knew additions like Josie should be mainstays

At the same time I feel like maybe I just don't like Tekken that much. None of the characters really click with me that well, which is a shame as it is a good game.

The need to go the route of Raven>Master Raven and turn some of these characters to girls. Don't go the eddy route and revert them back to guys. Maybe Paul has a daughter or something. We get Paul's moveset, but now it's a sexy gal doing it. Same with series mainstay like Hwoarang or Bryan or Law. Also, bring back old movesets like Kunimitsu, even if the character doesn't make it. That shits gone forever and it was a great moveset.

Not directly related but the voice over is weird as fuck. It's not bad it's just all the different languages really take me out of it. I can suspend my disbelief if everyone spoke English because it's sort of the defacto second language but it was really weird that everyone understood each other when they really had no reason to.

I miss Lei and like seeing people play him, and am not a fan of any of the new characters really but I have to grudgingly admit that I kinda get the logic behind removing him. They intended to make the game more beginner friendly and Lei with his insanely long move list is a very beginner unfriendly both to play with and play against.

I throughly enjoy Josie as a character. Lots of fun to learn and when you get the combos down you're a force to be reckoned with. Catarina is fun as fuck also. Never knew a flurry of kicks could lead to a launch across the stage. I wish Akuma wasn't in this. He feels so odd in this game. His movement feels almost jagged and the special chapter fight made me relies characters like him don't belong.
